Having trouble putting these spice world concepts into words... but here goes...

Is it possible that consciousness is a fundamental property of matter?
Perhaps aggregates of matter share a quantum virtual "information" particle field,
linking them closely with each other, such that they share information?
i.e. Matter stores information, but cannot manipulate it.

Perhaps in living things this information field (perhaps the higgs field?)
is in a state of non linear dynamic flux, or vortex flow - such that
the life form can store and manipulate information.

At some level of complexity, the information vortex generated and sustained
within living matter becomes capable of modeling itself, thus self consciousness.

Seems maybe the body/brain is a structure to create / maintain / localise
a sufficiently complex information vortex, in the material world?

Maybe these ideas just shift the questions - to what is information....

I would go further, and say that consciousness is a property of energy. Everything is energy, so everything is also consciousness. This is often seemingly untrue because of limited sensory capabilities of the human body, but I do think that it is the case. And just as energy and consciousness are a word for the same thing, so are other concepts such as information, god (not the "mainstream" religious one), life, existence, etc. They are everywhere where energy is: everywhere, because everything is energy.

So, following this logic, conscious experience is a component of the universe, it is one of the things that the universe 'does'. I remember something from Watts about abandoning the mental use of nouns, where everything is distinguished from everything else. All that is, is verb/action. We are one of the things that the universe 'does' consciousness.

Interesting stuff

Perhaps not. Perhaps rather than Consciousness being a component of this universe, maybe its spread evenly through out the multiverse. Some postualte the reason why gravity is so weak a force and seems to be in a class by itslef is because its dilluted by being spread throught the multiverse.

Science completed the standard model this past summer with the detction of the Higgs boson the final sub atomic particle aka carrier partricles of 3 forces but gravity our 4th force isnt part of the standard model nor is the predictd gravitron being sought. Why is this?

Its because its such an absolute weak force in general that on the quantrum level its impossible to do research with this force in super colliders. It remains theoretical for now.

Going back to the multiverse and gravity bit for a second. Some physists hypothesize the reason gravity is so absurdly weaker than the other 3 forces is because it is strecthed out through all the universes. Its weakness makes it impossible at the moment to study in places like CERN and find the theorhetical graviton.
So if consciousness was also spread across all the multi and universes then it will pose quite a challenge but should in theory be detected as a massless particle such as photons and gluons as well as find the accompanying boson. That is...if consciousness acts like a force of nature which to my laymen ass it seems to.

IMO Its similar to the other 4 forces because; Its there, were not sure how or why but in a way our universe as we know it couldnt exist without it. There would be no way to conclude that without, a something, that has a conscious experience whether or not any of this would exist or even does exist NOW:

This btw would be what I lean towards being possible.

I feel Dr Hammeroff at the University Of Arizona is doing great work in this field but in a way wasting his time trying to discover where in the brain does consciousness reside. Even if he found it, it still would not explain what consciousness is nor why we even have the subjective human experience.

It would have been just as easy for life to evolve without qualia. An organism can eat, evade capture, and seek survival conditions without the subjective expérience so then why is it even there? did it evolve or was ita constant of the multiverse?

I am not gonna lie, shits gonna get weird!

allow me to retort with my new age mystical bullsh*t,

i always felt like there was something else controlling my body. Sometimes it just goes on autopilot and does it's own thing.
Sometimes fragmented thoughts come into my head. They feel foreign, but it's probably just a voice inside my head, right?
Maybe not. Perhaps our organic body is like a video game character, and something somewhere else (perhaps our soul, perhaps something else) has the controller.

I could not agree more. I once told my friend that I felt like I was reading my life rather than really living it. I knew every line, every phrase and it seemed cliche and predictable sometimes. I think (though cannot prove for certain) that my consciousness/soul is non-local. Not that I joy-ride around in other people's brains, but that at different times I am on different planes of existence, for example when I am dreaming.

Nothing likes to be trapped in one place all the time. We all need a little "spice" in our life Pleased

SLIME MOLDS
I heard about slime molds several years ago and I have studied them only casually.

They fascinated me because the thought of thousands or millions of separate tiny organisms suddenly uniting together in order for the collective to REPRODUCE and MIGRATE kinda blew my mind.

Along different lines the mating habits of EELS, which migrate from USA and Europe to the SARGASSO SEA in order to MATE also blew my mind. UNLIKE WITH salmon, which famously swim upsteam to their breeding grounds before they die (those breeding/mating grounds were also the SOURCE of their birth, just as the Sargasso Sea was the SOURCE of the eels' birth), the subsequent journey of the eels (the tiny babies-the "fry"Pleased to inhabit the various rivers and waters of Europe, USA, S America etc. is NOT PART OF THEIR LIVING MEMORY. This subtle distinction says a lot!

You see the baby Salmon go DOWNSTREAM, directed by GRAVITY and the overwhelming flow of the rivers of their birth,....to the sea! Therefore they can "remember" somewhat, where they were born, but they do not consciously decide where to go ONCE THEY ARE BORN, water flow controls their descent to the seas.

In contrast, the newly born EEL fry do not have a geological force channeling them towards the ecological territories from which their several different parental sub-species emigrated for example the Mississippi, the Danube, the Amazon etc) and yet these babies must navigate from a relatively undifferentiated ocean (the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE) to migrate to their parent's ecological habitats without the benefit of being swept downstream as if against, or in spite of, their will.

Back to the SLIME MOLDS.

Here is an article JUST RELEASED...BREAKING NEWS!!! about slime molds learning how to navigate a MAZE even though they have no brains.

is this evidence for EXTERNAL CONSCIUOSNESS?

is Consciousness aware of you are are you aware of consciousness?
why are many people unaware of consciousness and do not want to know when you bring up the subject?

is the physical being and consciousness just one?

does it take many lifetimes to reach a state to realise your a sovereign being?

are you a old soul who has lived time and time again looking for deeper meaning and understanding in your life.

or a new born with the trails and errors that await your journey.

Dr Micheal Newtown http://www.spiritualregression.org/.
has regressed many people who claim they have been born again and again in different timelines, and what happens when they die and return.

interesting read.

and this is a recent article concerning the soul.
http://www.news.com.au/l...507452687#ixzz2GyKuYldF.

i don,t think it is about what we do when we passover anymore, although that was my main quest.
i think it is what we do here in the now,and how we live our lives.

when we return to source, maybe we judge, evaluate everything that we have learned, then move on.

just a opinion.

still looking for the big answersSmile
