I am interested in finding out about the extraction techniques for DMT and other psychoactive substances, but it all seems quite technical and the jargon is sometimes difficult to understand.
I am not a chemist so some of the terms used mean very little and I am aware that I need to almost start from scratch in some areas.
I am sure all the information is all here on the forum, but I find some of the information disjointed and fragmented.
I know I can eventually learn whats what, but like everything, its a case of paying attention to whats important whilst disregarding what is irrelevant, however, at this stage, I can't tell the difference (not because I'm too stupid, but because I don't know the subject).

Explore our global analysis service for precise testing of your extracts and other substances.

(use mimosa)

Also read the Wiki and the entire site if you can
It sounds difficult but in reality it's just like making a milkshake with a bit of time thrown in... Thumbs up
Please do not PM tek related questions

Yes it can be overwhelming. I started with the marsofold before this site existed and it took a long time, once you work it out its really easy and you wonder why it seemed so intimidating when it was so simple. If you do the noman tek you cant go wrong, just mix it all together and syphon the naptha off thats you, obviously read the tek lol https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Noman%27s_tek

Or try cyb's tek, not looked at it but if its easier than noman tek then you really cant complain about it being too technical!! Good luck!

There is always first time for everything my friend. We all have been there right where you are now. Just do not underestimate your self. Do as suggested above. Read and learn about all you are interested in.

Once you understand it all you will realize how easy it actually is. Trust me on this.

If you still have problem with anything come back here and ask.

It would be nice to hear more about your self.

Hello scooble,

Welcome to the Nexus. For sure, one doesn't need to know chemistry to be able to extract effectively. If you can cook (i.e. follow a recipe) you can extract DMT.

As was noted, check the wiki - especially the area there on extraction teks. Most of those are written in easy to follow/understand language.

If you ever get into confusion or trouble with an extraction, you can post your questions or come to chat for quick answers.

Please take the time to really look around - lots to see and learn here. I think the more time you spend the less confusing it may all seem.

Regardless, this is a time of transition, as our primary DMT plant is no longer obtainable. So folks are researching and analyzing new DMT containing plants, creating new teks, and garnering new long-term project attitudes while growing their own entheogens at home from seeds.

So, that introduction really just kind of expressed your frustration - I think a good look at the wiki will really help. Now that we are hopefully past that, can you do a more formal introduction for us please? Tell us about yourself, your interests, your experience level, etc. Anything that might allow us to get to know you a bit.

Again, welcome to the Nexus.
