I have already extracted about 1/2lb mimosa hostilis root bark. I take 750ml of water and add 50grams of lye and shake it till it dissolves. The ph shoots up to about 13-14 and i add the mimosa bark and shake the jar for about an hour in increments of 15min. After the hour i add about 50ml of naptha and stir the bottle around for about an hour giving 15min apart. Then after that i have to ways i do it. The first extraction i let it vaporize and i get some crystal that looks like its coming out of the glass but also looks like its flat and dried up on the glass so its not crystals but smells like the spice. and the second extraction i take and i freeze it up. Now when i that, sometimes when it dries and i can see it shining like fish scales but other times it just comes out in powder but not shiny only little little balls of powder. Is there anything im doing wrong? I see there is a lot of ways to make it bout found this way to be the easiest and fastest. Which one would be better for me to smoke? vaporized one or the freezer? How many times can i extract it using only 50grams of bark? I heard if you bath it you can extract more but haven't tried it yet. Any pointers will be considered also.

I think freezing is best...The 'powdery dots' you see are crystal growing (see pic of closeup)
Scrape those up (with whatever gunk/oil is there with it) and when you have enough you can Re-crystalize it to refine it further...
Around 5 or 6 pulls will exhaust 50g of bark.
Heat can help draw more up but it may get a bit yellow...

Thank you for that! I have left it recently sitting in the freezer for about 3weeks and when i took it out, instead of it being white powdery it was clear and hard. I still added it with the powder and the other crystals. I also add them all together. Like the batch i vaporize and the ones i freeze go in the same jar. Is that a good idea to do or should i keep them seperate?

Evaporated or freeze precipitated...its the same stuff. They can be mixed together no problem, if that's what you mean.
