why does it redirects to facebook, when i try to submit my signature ? Does it have to go through facebook ?

Unfortunately I believe it does have to go through FB.

Also be careful because it auto invited several people to sign the petition which I thought was kind of shady. I wish they would have chosen a different petition platform.

Facebook is a data compiling agency. Why do these people continue to make petitions that go through facebook? Perfect way for narcs to monitor people.

I signed it anyway but I nearly chose not to. I dont put my real name of facebook and plan to delete my facebook completely sooner or later. I dont like having my real name associated with my facebook account.

Exactly how I feel, I never sign any petitions on Facebook, and keep only limited personal info just for contact of friends and family.

There really should be a better place for petitions like this and I would sign them, I just would rather not have all of my personal opinions out there for the world to see.

I feel sorry for the guy, sounds like he was profiled by authorities and they were waiting for a chance to bust him... Profiled Via Facebook perhaps? Maybe who knows, he was profiled in a slow food article that could have been read by some Swiss authorities,
sucks though, to see that someone was just waiting for a chance to nab the guy.

P.S. Jamie, you can deactivate your FB but you can never delete it. It will always be there... waiting for you to come back....

Actually, it is possible to completely delete your account via this link.

The thing is, if you log back in within 2 weeks of submitting the form, it reactivates and all bets are off. You'll have to submit the form again and wait another 2 weeks.

But I completely agree with you Jamie... FB is a horrible platform that collects way too much data and I intend to get off of there soon enough as well.

No wonder he's in trouble. Fricken Facebook. I swear that is an evil entity.
