Well where to start. I am not new the the "the experience" but am certainly no vet yet. I have fairly heavily looked into the whole subject of DMT. Although its not as if there is a plethora of information available on the subject, this at first glance must certainly must be one of the best sources. I have read "the spirit molecule" by rick strassman of course , Have both a copy of Graham Hancock's, Fingerprints of the gods and supernatural, both i enjoyed thoroughly. Also I follow the JRE podcast. I am and avid fan system of a down, scars on broadway, and Serj tankian and if im mentioning musicians might as well throw in Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Cash. I acquired the rank of Eagle in BSA. I was lucky enough to grow up a stones throw away from a river. I am quite the fisherman, can catch catfish from dusk till dawn. I also enjoy gettin out in the woods during bow season to keep my eyes peeled for some whitetails. I practice with 4 arrows and can get all of them in a cigarette pack at 45 yards, just sayin hehe. DMT has most certainly changed my life for the better, igniting a sense of spirituality as well as awe and appreciation for life. I was raised baptist christian. I used to have panic attacks in the car on the way to church. Gripping the door handle realizing i was alive this was real no dream. My childish logic was i was that i didnt really buy into this jesus fellow so i must be going to hell. These times were the only times in my entire life that I ever recall having a "panic" attack. I have never told anyone about this except for a close friend when we were discussing religion. I haves since found these shamanistic ideas, which so far i feel seem to jive pretty well with science. As the psychedelic experience is most certainly real, as much as modern society may want to discredit it. One conclusion I have sort of come to myself although with help from information from others although I have never heard them just come out and say it. Is "What is a religous experience if not a psychedelic experience?" I am ready to do my part to help awaken my community and the U.S. to this magical gift we have all been givin. So please accept me as a full member to the nexus, as I will only contribute positive things. Today was actually the day I had planned to "read through" my STB tek. I have my methods down pretty well now. Happy travels, Future Nexus Member? "The modern world was not alive to the tremendous Reality that encompassed it. We were surrounded by an immeasurable abyss of darkness and splendor. We built our empires on a pellet of dust revolving around a ball of fire in unfathomable space. Life, that Sphinx, with the head of a lion and the body of a brute, asked us new riddles every hour. Matter itself was dissolving under the scrutiny of Science; and yet in our daily lives we were becoming a group of somnambulists, whose very breathing, in train and bus car, was timed to the movement of wheels; and the more perfectly, and even alertly, we clicked through our automatic affairs on the surface of things, the more complete to our insensibility to the utterly inscrutable mystery that anything should be in existence at all." -Alfred Noyes,The Unknown God, London, 1934,pp176-177

Welcome to the Nexus! I think you will find theres quite a few members who have rejected some aspects of organised religion but still appreciate 'spirituality'. Im sure you will get promoted to full membership in due course; all you need to do is contribute in the areas you've access to, and I assure you they get plenty of traffic. You also sound rather handy with a bow! Once more, welcome aboard! I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

Hello AmateurHistorian, Welcome to the Nexus. That was a great Introduction Essay. Thank you so much for taking the time to compose and post it. I also want to thank you for sharing. I felt I got a good sense of who you are by reading your essay and that's exactly what the Intro should do. I gotta say, I'd probably have a full blown panic attack if put in the back of a car and driven to Baptist church - at any age. I would say a religious experience is a pale shadow of a direct psychedelic mystical experience. I do not mean to be disrespectful, but my strong sense is one can get a LOT closer to God by eating mushrooms rather than taking Communion. The psychedelic experience is very DIRECT whereas modern religions are thousands of years removed from the original men who had the numinous visions that started it all. Promotion comes via a voting process with members participating. It usually takes some activity - a few posts - to get folks voting for you. I suspect if you choose to participate actively here that you will be promoted in no time at all. I for one will watch out for you and plan on voting Yes after a few more posts. So, please take a good look around - there's a lot to see here and I think you are going to like what you find. I look forward to seeing your future posts and warmly welcome you to the Nexus. For many of us who were raised as christians, the blackmail could be scary until you fully realized the coercion and the contradictions in the whole thing. The religious experiences through psychedelics are a completely different kind... responsibility grows even bigger (and more mature) than in the christian doctrine we all know, but it's so much easier to make a deal with the godhead when you find it within. im not sure you got exactly what I was trying to say pandora, but I was just sayin a real religious experience i am convinced is a psychedelic experience. People would say moses talking to the burning bush or the prophet Muhammad cold and wet in the cave then seeing an angel as wide as the horizon was most likely a dump of endogenous dmt or maybe in moses case was even an exogenous (outside source) of dmt as the Acacia plant that grows where the ten commandments were constructed is known to be high in dmt. No ones truly having a religious experience in a christian church unless they are part of the 1% pre-disposed to states of trance, which most likely means they have higher natural levels of endogenous dmt. IMO "The modern world was not alive to the tremendous Reality that encompassed it. We were surrounded by an immeasurable abyss of darkness and splendor. We built our empires on a pellet of dust revolving around a ball of fire in unfathomable space. Life, that Sphinx, with the head of a lion and the body of a brute, asked us new riddles every hour. First welcome to the nexus. Im not sure if your aware at the ginormous liberties and assumptions you are making here. Lets just say the stories of the bible you refer to are factual...still a huge stretch to say they were caused by DMT released in the brain or from the acacia tree near the red sea. I appreciate your enthusiasm but mate those are some bold assumptions right there.. I am not gonna lie, shits gonna get weird!Troubles Breaking Through? Click here. I wouldnt say its a huge stretch to say if they are true that they are endogenous dmt phenomena. I would agree the latter was a stretch. But whats wrong with speculation. I support this through the fact that dmt is endogenous in the human body, and the acacia bush that is native to that area is high in dmt. "The modern world was not alive to the tremendous Reality that encompassed it. We were surrounded by an immeasurable abyss of darkness and splendor. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. I guess Moses was tripping balls then along with all those wandering with him seeing the same hallucination and ending up across a sea. Do you believe this physical impossibility actually happened? Hey man, I don't know. Do you really believe a mofo parted the red sea. I kinda dig John Marco Allegros work and hes certainly more of an expert then either of us. No, google him yourself, because I am not yet educated enough to speak on the subject "The modern world was not alive to the tremendous Reality that encompassed it. C'mon mate? Moses tripping is a valid hypothesis made by a hebrew scientist among others. and parting the red sea was clearly stated in the bible I didn't say anything else. I do not want to join this site to explain myself every 5 minutes. "The modern world was not alive to the tremendous Reality that encompassed it.
