As ingredient gathering could become much more difficult. I feel like if this isn't managed well by responsibly public members speaking in defense (once the limelight births greater conversation) then a similar backlash paralleling the classical anti-lsd movement could arise.

Kinda a shame the level of conversation that takes place about psychedelics, but that is where we are at consciously. Obviously there is a small group of people who raise the conversation, but it's small. The massive public opinion on psychedelics is psychotic. It's like how Timothy Leary said Lsd causes psychotic behavior in those who don't take it. People will drink and eat drugs from white sugar to script meds and cannot acknowledge responsible use of mushrooms?

I saw it and was very disappointed and ashamed. The “dmt cook" was heating the naphtha on the stove with an open flame while wearing a tyvek suit with a dust mask, only to freeze precipitate his unsealed tray with a freezer full of food
The hipster was inefficiently burning the spice by not sandwiching it with pot...very poor representation.

What a horrible travesty.

This completely undermines the whole "spirituality" of the entheogen. Its easy to make it look bad when you show a kitchen chemist wearing a chem suit and cooking naphtha right over an open flame and a stoned out hipster wearing a yarn hat and suspenders going on about how the walls are changing colors. Where is the part about the correlation between the pineal gland and chakras, the eye of ra, or Egyptian/Tibetan book of the dead? How about the stunning discovery of reptilians who's pineal gland has a cornea, retina, and a lens attached to it? I say the less mainstream the better.

couldn't help but notice the other vid ads in the background regarding crack/coke, meth, and ecstacy. NatGeo has definitely taken a more alarmist note to programming in recent years, I'd venture they are run by a media mogul with right-wing ideology. The commercial ads are usually about 9/11 coins and related crap

It was only a matter of time before Drug INC got around to DMT, after all how many drugs are out there for them to keep that show going... it's like what happened with Ancient Aliens, started out good but then ran out of topics so they had episodes like Ancient aliens and cowboys... after a while people stop paying attention. I doubt this will have much of an impact.

The trailer creates the impression that it is yet another 'drug' threat to society perpetuated by hippies. For what it's worth, at least the voiceover states it's a dimension that is entered into.
