My friend has gifted me a half gram of DMT, but I am a little bit weary of it. Maybe I am just over-thinking things. The consistency and texture check off, but it is practically scentless! All of the DMT I have had before has had a very strong mothball smell, whether it was off-white (yellow) or pure white.

This stuff however does not smell like mothballs, but only has a very subtle plastic scent. I know that very pure DMT has less of a scent than impure spice, but this stuff is yellow so I am perplexed by it's lack of scent.

So what about you guys - has anyone ever had odorless, off-white DMT?

I have rubbed a little bit between my fingers, and I don't think waxy quite describes it. Somewhat oily but still no scent.

Burn a small amount without smoking it, like incense. What's the smell? DMT has a very distinctive odor and should be recognizable.

You read my mind.

I put a teensy tiny amount on some foil and put a lighter under it, it vaped almost instantly and i got a whiff of the fumes. Smells like deemsters. Unless there are any research chemicals that smell like DMT when smoked, I am pretty confident this is very real now.

Does it's lack of smell in freebase form mean it is more pure than the scented spice I have had in the past?

It may. The smell can be a result of the extraction method used.

Once burned, however, there should be a distinctive DMT smell. From everything you've described and the picture, my best guess is in fact DMT. Usually, RCs don't have that yellow tint and waxy feel. But again, you never know. Be careful and start small. Then, learn to extract.

I am studying DMT extractions. I had rushed into one earlier this year without much research and ended up throwing $200 or so down the drain and wasting a kilo of good bark
