Over the past year I've gone through a series of changes in my life. I was raised in a very religious home and my attitude towards life then was apathetic and careless. Once I decided for myself to become an atheist and started smoking marijuana I obtained the mentality to start trying in life (sounds contradictory right?): I lost 40lbs with my new diet, (becoming a vegetarian shortly after) I developed new relationships, and just felt generally inspired. Along the way I decided to start doing psychedelics after I learned how non-harmful they really were-opposed to the things I've always heard in the media, from other people etc. So far I've only done lsd, dmt, dxm, and thc. I'm planning on trying shrooms (and maybe growing them) soon. Along with my appetite for psychedelics grew my desire to nurture my spiritual self through meditation, dreaming, and self-reflection; I believe I have found somewhat of an inner peace, although it is of course always an ongoing battle to improve myself. I decided to finally post an introductory essay due to the 'awakening' period that has began recently. I decided it was time to learn more and expand my knowledge here (I have been lurking and have seen many very experienced users here, and I appreciate the charismatic atmosphere of this forum.) because I am choosing to change myself, because I believe change is upon us all.

My experience thus far on DMT has been amazing. My routine usually involves meditation beforehand, and two or three hits from my GVG (I read on here that this was the best vaporization delivery method and I am not disappointed.) I haven't gotten a breakthrough experience but I have been inspired nonetheless. The basics of what I've seen is some intense geometry and fractal patterns. What I've felt is a deep sense of enlightenment and connectedness to the collective universe. I'm not quite sure where to take DMT from here but upping the dose is definitely in my future.

Well, I wasn't quite sure what to put on here, and I apologize if it seems I'm rambling through my life story. I just hope to learn from this great community, and meet some like-minded people.

Always great and reassuring to find new travelers along this path. It's amazing that you've done what you've done, and I commend you having went through a similar scenario. Cheers and welcome.

I really enjoyed your introduction.

I love hearing of people on a self aware path, choosing to transform their lives.

Down the rabbit hole we go. Wink

Its awesome the inspiration that entheogens can provide us when trying to improve our lives. Seems like you've figured that out.

I look forward to hearing about your experiences, and what ever else you want to share.

Welcome to the nexus!

Welcome.
I also firmly believe a vegetarian diet is a very responsible + non-harmful way of conducting oneself in the world.
Re: atheism - I'm pretty sure on the entheogenic path you will get in touch sometime with Intelligences that might have you re-evaulate your current worldview.
How did your experience go with dxm may I ask? Erowid says it is a dissociative/psychedelic.

What does your sign-off mean to you? I find it interesting.

Sometimes the label atheist is paired with negative connotation; what I meant was that I unsubscribed from my family's christian views. My current spiritual view falls in line much with hinduism. I believe that we are the universe, and the universe is infinite, and consciousness is our way of experiencing what we are--the universe. I'm sure plenty of people on this forum share a similar point of view. Hinduism is pantheistic, therefore everything is 'god', but I feel our society has placed a different meaning to this word than I understand it. Maybe a better word would be a law, or perhaps nature?
If you're talking about something completely different, then would you care to explain? What psychedelic experience has influenced you the most on this subject?

My experience with dxm has been somewhat mind opening, but not mind expanding. What I mean by this is that it didn't give me the same feeling of connectedness that lsd and dmt did, however it did make me turn inward and look at myself which was helpful even though I only reached the first plateau. If I do it again in the future I'll be sure to extract the dxm instead of just chugging a bottle of delsum. Also I'll smoke marijuana during the onset, I hear it gets rid of the foggy nature of the trip.

Thanks for sharing.
I have a predilection towards Hinduism too. The Vedas/Upanishads are on my to-read list. God has been described as the Divine Light by those scriptures, which parallels my personal Sacred Spice experience. I have also had Angelic contact with Salvia Divinorum extract as well as experiencing being part a Shamanic initiation (in another dimension) surrounded by a tribe/ancestors. With San Pedro: Visions of my Holy Guardian Angel fighting demons; the Plant Spirit visualised as: a humanoid shape, one as an upright reptile + another as a giant cactus-like being. Spice: a translucent/iridescent humanoid/insect being as well as experiencing my guides/ancestors; Iboga: visualising my Higher-Self + death as a sphere.
In Love + Light
Peace

Wow I can see why you have those opinions. I hope to have some experiences like those in the future, and it sounds like Incan learn a lot from you.

Hello ExploreTheFractal,

Welcome to the Nexus. I very much enjoyed reading your Introduction essay and follow-up replies. It sounds like you are on quite a journey. I am very glad you found us and decided to sign up for membership. I think you will fit in well here.

Please take a good look around - this place is huge and there's a lot to see. I suspect you will like what you find.

Have you had a chance to extract your own DMT yet?

Great to have you here - again welcome to the Nexus.

@ExploreTheFractal - yes, I believe strongly in direct mystical experiences, even though they are subjective, my hope is that we may be able to find objectivity/Truth in relating/sharing our experiences on this forum.
Peace
