Hello everyone,

Just a quick recommendation to those who are looking for a cheap, effective fluoride fighting solution. The choices can be bewildering and they each have their trade offs (Reverse Osmosis removes all minerals from the water, Brita filters do not remove fluoride at all, AA filters need to be replaced every so often, etc) so when I came upon this filter I thought it was a very good value for the $, easy to install and replace every 3 months and keeps minerals in while taking 95% of the bad stuff out, and the installation is SUPER easy 2 minutes.

BTW: I needed this adapter to hook it up to my faucet:

Replace filter every 3 months approx for continued fluoride removal (Filter is $30)

Quote:
This advanced compound multi-stage 5-micron coconut shell and granular activated carbon and activated alimina water filter can safely eliminate over 93-percent of the fluoride, arsenic, and selenium from your tap water, in addition to removing up to 98-percent of chemicals including VOCs, TOCs, chlorine, and other contaminants that create foul tastes and odors in your tap water. The Tap Master Jr. F2 has Channel Blockers to ensure even filtration, and avoid problems which are found in other competitor's granular filters.

Great reviews with a couple of people saying that they have sent water samples into the lab and have had terrific results.

BTW: The water tastes GREAT!

I am not here to expound on the dangers of water fluoridation but off the top of my head to comment on the question of why one might be concerned:

Quote:
In Europe, only Ireland (73%), Poland (1%), Serbia (3%), Spain (11%), and the U.K. (11%) fluoridate any of their water. Most developed countries, including Japan and 97% of the western European population, do not consume fluoridated water.

The pineal gland is a midline structure shaped like a pine cone and is often seen in plain skull X-rays, as it is often calcified; calcification has been shown in one study to correlate with the accumulation of fluoride.

Many, many more reasons not to fluoridate here:

And for those who are thinking of making 'Foil hat jokes' take a moment to ponder this one of the many such (admitted!) "studies" undertaken by our government:

Quote:
From 1946 to 1948, American public health doctors deliberately infected nearly 700 Guatemalans — prison inmates, mental patients and soldiers — with venereal diseases in what was meant as an effort to test the effectiveness of penicillin.

I hope someone finds this useful.

Ultimately, I want to leave you with this (you might already know it):

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I'm glad my community has rejected floridization of our drinking water.

Glad to hear you guys have found better alternatives already or luckily, had them by default!

Many of us in the U.S. are not so lucky...

P.S.

Great, free documentary based off the equally great book 'The Fluoride Deception'

I distill water that I drink from tap water. That way I know I'm not getting fluoride or other chemicals (added intentionally or not). Costs less than bottled water and I know the quality since I distill it myself. I've been doing this for 15 years. I'm not fanatical about it to the point never drinking a drop of tap water (say out of a water fountain), but at home I drink and cook with distilled water.

Incidentally, if I don't rinse the distiller after each use I end up with plenty of stuff that looks like mud in the bottom of the distiller. That's stuff I would be drinking if I didn't distill the water!

I've been thinking of doing this myself elpho. Distillation gets ALL the stuff out as I believe the phase conversion to steam and back via condensation doesn't allow anything but H2O to remain?

If anyone can recommend a good distillation system, we are all ears =)

If you're drinking only distilled water, be sure to take a supplement for the necessary minerals and electrolytes that your body needs that are removed in the distillation process.

At this point I would also be worried about all the radiation in the water from Japan. That stuff comes down in the jetstream..especially on the west coast of NA and especially especially in the PNW..the media never reports on this. Even Europe gets the jetstream real bad at times. There are certain days when we get the jetstream from Japan where I dont even go out in the rain anymore. That thing really needs to be covered.

Artesian spring water that has not seen the surface in a long long time is ideal..if you dont have access to that I would be getting a zeolite filter asap. That will filter out everything, including hot particles. They are not super cheap though.

Not exactly cheap, but I use two systems for my family's drinking water.

1. Atmospheric water generator http://www.ecoloblue.com/ecoloblue30.html
Love this thing. Hot and cold water on demand. I found a guy on craigslist that sold me his for $100.00. It was new, he never used it. Got it as a gift from his mother. I said thankyou very much, and drove it home.

2. ProPur gravity filter with the optional flouride filters. http://infowarsshop.com/ProPur-...-System-4-Gal_p_487.html. I bought the King model, stand, glass sight spigot, with four filters and four flouride filters. again, not exactly cheap, but it frees me from electricity, is portable, leaves in beneficial minerals and is good in this configuration for 12,000 gallons of drinking water. Turn pond water into drinking water. Turn tap poison into drinkable water.
