I am native to Southern Idaho in the Boise area... I moved to the Seattle, WA area and lived there for over a year only to return home for family's sake Smile

I consider myself restless and a wanderer. I seek new experiences and adventures. I love nature and being immersed in it where I feel free. I am at my highest bliss when I assist in the process of helping others.

I feel disconnected from modern society, I feel as though I am an alien in a different world. I don't understand it, and it makes me sad. I search for answers knowing full well that society will not give me the answers that I seek.

I long to experience an altered consciousness, where the "blindfolds" have been taken away, and the bare earthen universe is exposed for true understanding. I have heard about ayahuasca, psychadelic mushrooms, and DMT....but I have yet to experience these things as I do not believe I am ready for them. I hope to get an idea of what possibilities are to be experienced and to help gain knowledge of any kind as we are all seekers and we are all one.

Thank you Ice House for introducing me to resources that can help on my ecstatic journey :]

Peace, Love, and Light

Hello Yin Shaman Five,

Welcome to the Nexus. Congratulations on your nearly instant promotion. Very happy.

I think many members here share your feelings of alienation from (especially the mores and values) modern society. And many here search for answers as you do. Smile

Absolutely no guarantees that entheogens will give you anything but more questions, in particular DMT, but I believe self/consciousness exploration can be a wonderful catalyst to growth.

Have you done much work with meditation to date?

Due to your lack of experience (and this is only a personal opinion) I would recommend starting with a home mushroom grow and a series of dosings at increasing levels. I would also recommend doing a banisteriopsis caapi only brew before brewing aya with DMT or DMT containing plants. Again, just in my opinion, but to me it makes sense to wade out a bit before taking a deep dive. Very happy

Okay, you have access and posting rights all over the forum now. I look forward to your participation. Again, a warm welcome to you.

Welcome Yin Shaman Five! Quite a lovely intro.

I couldn't have said this any better myself, I've have my most profound moments of bliss while meditating surrounded by scenic nature, "feeling free" as you said. The same for these feeling of sadness for society you have. It hurts deeply, and I feel I will be of help one day but I often find myself retreating from society due to lack of knowledge of how to help, all I know thus far is to love unconditionally, smile when they say there is nothing to be happy about and to turn down a hand shake, and give a hug in it's place.

As for the blindfolds you seek to have removed, these experiences will no doubt find you, as Ice House put it so perfectly:

Quote:
Your journey has begun, You will see what I mean soon enough.

Enjoy the ride! Now that you have started, you will no doubtedly find what you seek.

Again, welcome!

Welcome.
Integration into society in a way that makes one feel that one is doing so ethically and/or with integrity and/or with a positive purpose is the way to go, IMO.
Re: Entheogens - no rush + with baby steps is the best, IMO. Also, the quality of your friends is NB.
@Pandora - could you kinldy tell me more as to why you feel so strongly about banisteriopsis caapi tea on its own?
In Love + Light
Peace
