Although I've never eaten peyote, I enjoy these songs and plan to listen to them on the 21st when I eat trichocereus. I don't seem to be able to find much info on any musical tradition of the tricho shamans. Seems there would be, since peru seems to be a very musical place.

I love the music of the NAC. I would love to sit in ceremony some day with people of a half moon fireplace just to hear the music. It's beautiful.
Long live the unwoke.

I'm bumping a few month old thread but it's not too old so I think it's fine...

I am very grateful for being invited to a peyote ceremony coming up. I want to/it's recommended that I learn at least one peyote song to sing during ceremony. Anyone know of some more simple peyote songs to learn/remember? I'm not used to the vocables and style of singing the NAC does. It's beautiful though and I guess I'll just have to listen and practice a lot.

I'm just curious if there are any songs that are pretty easy to sing and remember.
[center]Sophia's Light

In darkest night, when lights are dim, and all in sight seems sad and grim,
I find you there, your arms surround me, your spirit fills me and it grounds me.
I look to you, Lady of Truth, most ancient One, yet eternal youth,to keep me safe, protect my heart, and with the wisdom you impart, fill up my empty mind and soul,so that, my Lover, you can make whole, all that was broken in this day –and that is what I ask and pray.

there's a happy birthday peyote song that seems to be a very popular one. Never been to a ceremony though
