Ever since my parents vaguely enjoined me not to use psychedelics (injunctions that gave way to my mom's untried favor towards marijuana), I've had an interest in substances like LSD and DMT, although the former was the one I knew by name and the latter is the one I should've known about all along.

Not that I've ever been fortunate enough to try it. My participation in this website is intended not as a way for me to share stories and analysis of personal trips, but to test my philosophical theory of the "layers of reality" concepts involved in extreme psychedelia. And coming to thoughtful, friendly people who can compare my description of the "Other World" suggested by my theory with DMT hyperspace seems a plausible way to administer such a test.

Since this is my introductory essay post, though, I'm not sure I should just launch into an extensive discussion of deontic logic and the E8 theory in physics and the Neverending Story (with a nod to another member of this site), all topics that I promise I can seriously piece together into one coherent idea (using Immanuel Kant and others as the glue). Or so I hope/QED...

The only other forum that has given me a strong impression of civility from the get-go is the Kevin's Watch forum for discussion of the author Stephen R. Donaldson and his work. I'm still strongly involved there, and I have faith that I will be involved here for long days and nights to come. So thank you for the existence of this website, or for your contributions hereto (the art section is overwhelmingly amazing).

I already replied to your other post, and I recommend you for promotion, since you exemplify the type of people I have met in this forum.

Hello Ripheus23,

Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you so much for taking time to write an Introduction Essay.

You can post on any topic you like in the Open Discussion area, including posts in the general forum areas that you can currently only look at. For example you could start a new thread in Open Discussion titled re: Neverending Story thread or something similar. Then in the first paragraph, include a link to the referenced post as you did here in your intro.

Then go ahead and launch into your discussion(s).

You have joined us during a time of big change due to lack of availability of our main DMT source plant. Lots of new work being done on plant identification and analysis, new development of teks and lots of folks starting gardens at home to literally grow their own entheogens.

Please take a good look around - this place is huge. I do hope you like what you see. Please don't limit yourself on what you think you may participate in - you might be surprised, Smile. At least I hope so.

Again, welcome to the Nexus.
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Welcome.
The Neverending Story along with the Dark Crystal (watched a little of that this morning actually, lol) are faves as children's stories with adult spiritual concepts. I love the idea that in TDC it attempts explaining why there is duality in the world.
@Pandora - I wasn't aware of the scarcity of Mimosa Hostillis. Could you tell me more about this if you like?
In Love + Light
Peace
