Hey guys. So I went ahead and took a couple of hits of my DMT through my bubbler. I had my DMT resting on a bed of pot ashes with a screen of steel mesh on top of that. Apparently there was still a wee bit of pot there as well. I'm not sure how much I took, as my scale wasn't working at the time, so I eyed it. I used about as much to fill Lincolns face on the penny, if that gives you an idea. About 10mg, right? I didn't know if that was enough. So I took the first hit. For some reason the smoke was filling bubbles and they'd pop, slowly filling the bubbler's chabmer. Is that normal for DMT? It's never done this with weed. Or do I need more water?

Anyway, I switched to the pipe mod from my bubbler, found in my other thread on here. It took a little time to really recognize the feeling of when the smoke is coming and how long to burn. I held a standard lighter above, and toked to pull the heat down. I now know the famed burnt plastic taste, and the smoke is really harsh feeling going down.

It feels like each particle's attacking your throat and filling everything on the way down. I mean, you feel that stuff go down! I held for 20 seconds and blew. Started pulling on the pipe immediately as I've researched to get the most in as quickly as possible, and took the second toke. I start feeling reeeaaallllyyy spacey, but everything still looks normal. Eventually I only feel extreeaammmlllyy high, which is what I feel right now. I don't know if that's just the left over weed or what, but this is a different high. It's really hard to explain. I still have my motor control, but I feel sorta tingly all over, and kinda numb, like pot makes you feel.

My memory for everything happening right now sucks.. Vision seems good still, kinda like being really high. I haven't seen "visuals" open eyed. I tried closing my eyes and at first only saw my living room outlined in blue, but walls and floor are black. You know how you close your eyes after looking at a light, and the impression is still there? Yeah, like that. It went away pretty quick. Then I sorta saw some spinning pineapples. They were blue, and there were 8 of them.

That went into a sort of tunnel vision, where a tunnel of colors was coming at me really fast, and there were light beams shooting past me. Some weird dancing grass or something like that. None of this is in HD or anything close to it. It wasn't at all like I've read about. It was more like really extremely faint colors, like when you close your eyes to go to sleep at night, and you see the electrical patterns of color behind your eyes. Really faint, but I still took it as a fact that it was working.

Do I need to use more DMT than what I measured out? I have 300mg worth, only used around 10. Thanks guys!

Your experience sounds appropriate for a dose size of 10mg. A larger dose will have an increased chance of creating more high resolution imagery and effects. Perhaps try 15-18mg and see how that goes.

Use twice as much next time. You're approaching breakthrough doses, depending on how efficent your vaping method is.

The harshness of the smoke/vapor sounds as though your burning the DMT. When I first tried vaping using a "crack" type pipe, I burnt the DMT and it was really harsh and hard to take in. After getting my GVG and actually vaping and not burning, I can say from my experience it should not be harsh on your lungs or throat.

Perhaps try using more of an ash bed on top and slowing your pull or even some other herbs like Caapi leaves.

Ok, so I need to set up my vape differently and use more spice. I think I need to clean out the bowl & switch screens, bcus I don't think enough air was getting through to the water, resulting in too many bubbles of smoke. There might of been a little too much pot ash below the spice too clogging the air way. Plus it felt a little hard to pull on due to lack of air movement. When I first built it & used pot on the first go, it was extremely easy to pull through & resulted in a ton of smoke instantly, so I believe a good cleaning will suffice. My girlfriend and I could for sure tell it was working, my visuals were just extremely, extremely dim, & it's almost like a pot high, but by 100x. I'll go for 50mg this time. Sound good??

I would NOT recommend going for 50 mg after ten. There is a HUGE difference in the experience between 10, 25, 35 and 50mgs. Huge. 25mgs should be more than enough to give you a full breakthrough if youre vaping it right. I use a bubbler and a small piece of scrubber from a scrubber like the one Ive linked to. I measure my dose, then put the scrubber in the bowl, and put the lighter over the scrubber and draw the flame in. This heats the scrubber up, then I dump the spice on top of it. You dont want the scrubber too hot or it will vape before you can hit it, just hot enought that the spice melts into it. Then you can just hit it like you would a regular bowl.

This method works 100% of the time for me, and the smoke is never harsh. If its harsh, as others have said you are probably burning your spice.

Increase your dose, hold it in longer too.

Im rather new to vaping dmt myself but have recently got me a gvg and feel I am getting pro! First few times, I was getting a similar feel, bad taste and a bit of harshness. Work on your vaping technique, I only feel warm air come through, nothing basically. I sometimes still feel I haven't done it right until, BANG! it all hits me, Such a pleasurable experience vaping.

I had a look at your other post with the vape you made, I am no expert but it could also be from your device your using. Maybe try making the machine instead as that seems to be the best homemade vape especially with dmt there are a few post on here about it.

From the experience you did have I would say you arent too far off your desired dose, with the amount of stuff you have just slowly adjust your dosages and have a beautiful journey. Im sure everything will work out naturally for you

Buy gvg or like I did, build "the machine".. there several threads on how to make one. But basically, hennesy bottle (hole cut/punched in the bottom) and some chore boy scrub pad... so under 5 bucks! Works like a char.. 20mg and boom.

Thanks everyone! Ok, so last night I tried a number of ways of vaping. I first tried my bubbler, pot sandwich style. I just felt really high again, but no visuals. I waited about 30 minutes, and I went for the tin foil/bottle method, even though I've read its terrible for you. Boy is that right! I think I held it over the flame for too long, I just couldn't tell whether it was filling with smoke. Well, found out it had filled with a ton of smoke when I removed the cap, and man was it harsh! My god!!

I held about 5 seconds, two hits, that's all I could do! But I started hearing the cellophane just slightly in my right ear, and a high pitch in my left. The sounds didn't last long. I closed my eyes and saw a faint bow tie/ribbon structure over black, with red and blue checkers all over, sort of pulsing. That went away, and I saw some other swirly images. The most vivid image was that of a two headed dragon off in the distance. One head was green, the other red, and they were so Freakin vivid!! The green one turned away but the red one, with menacing green eyes stretched its mouth with open, as if to say "STOP! JUST WAIT!!" . I took that as a sign I hadn't waited long enough and held off a while. Eventually I just felt really high again.

I felt rushed last night, as everyone was there, and I believe I just burned it way too much. Today I'm going to do a version of the key device from my bubbler, using the pipe assembly, and go very slow and easy with it, making sure I draw heat rather than flame through it. I thought I was drawing heat but instead pulled too hard and got the flame down into the bowl. But everywhere I go now, it's like I smell it in everything!

Man.... that dragon though...

Yeah, it shouldn't be harsh at all.. when I finally got it right with the machine (again shameless plug for the machine) I didn't even feel the vapor.. taste yeah, but smoooooth as butter. Don't piss off the dragon, give the D respect and do it when you have the time, clear intent and propper setting!

Yeah, I'm going to for sure take it a lot slower this time, and no pressure. I have here a few images of my new device for smoking. It's a variation on the Key device. The second is an illustration of how it would be used.







With this final image, you can see the yellow clumps of DMT melted into some pot, left over from when I tried vaping through the bubbler the first time. Would these still be ok to use up in this new device, or no? I still have plenty of powder left.

I'm no expert here, but with the setup you got the dmt may just melt/run off or boil...(is the stuff in the weed all u have or do you still have xtals left over?)

I'll be interested to see how efficient it is OR build the machine *hint,hint* I promise you, you will NOT fail, and it's soooo simple in design and to use and work, period. Man, if the machine was patented, I should be a paid sponsor if you are interested, I'd be glad to put up a pic of mine, and give you the rundown on exactly how I use it. Also, I'd make your tube as short as possible, dmt vape will crystalize almost instantly as it cools, so the longer the point of vape to inhale is the more you are going to lose.

Ps the first device I made was a sort of key and it was total crap.

So I just tried this new smoking device and it absolutely did not work, by any means. The DMT just boiled down to a liquid. I can taste the plastic-ness, but that's it. No smoke at all.

Ok ladies and gents. I went ahead and built myself a machine! It was an empty perfume bottle. I made sure to sterilize and clean the inside VERY well. I punched a hole through the bottom with a hammer and screw driver, covered the bottom with some foil tape to seal it off, and pushed some tubing through it. Now I just need to test it! I'll be back with results!
