Here is just a little background, I have in my time smoked about 2grams of DMT and I have what I thought was DMT. I loaded up my GVG and attempted to vaporize but the taste was nothing like what I had tasted in previous sessions. Both the smell and the taste were a little sweet and when I held in the vapor for 10 seconds there was still a lot of vapor when I exhaled. I had always been under the impression that there is very little to no vapor that comes out after holding in for 10 seconds. One thing I noticed is that even after 5 pulls all but 1 of the crystals were still in tact and only 1 had color change. I felt no effect at all even though I had 2 big hits because there were 2 times where I could fill it going down my trachea and both times I did a slow 10 count and exhaled. I remember the first time I ever smoked I had a small hit and it was so intense I thought I had OD. Not sure if it would make a difference but should I take some pictures of what I have and post them here to see if anyone can give me an identification?

If the smell and taste was nothing like DMT and you didn't feel anything what makes you think you have DMT?

You should throw that stuff down the toilet.

When I hold the vapor in 10 seconds probably wouldn't be enough to absorb all the visible vapor. Usually I'm closer to 20 seconds. That point aside, if you were able to take 1 pull (much less 5) and have any crystal intact, you're either using your GVG improperly, or it's not DMT. In the case that you're not using your GVG correctly, it seems most likely to me that the lighter would be the issue because an ash or a screen bed wouldn't even make so much of a difference (at least in regards to your crystals not melting - which should be practically instantaneous). If you're using a bic lighter, try using a torch. If you're using a torch, turn the intensity up, and if the intensity is all the way up (and it really is DMT) you'll probably need a new torch. However as DMTripper said, you're not sure it's DMT, and so it probably might be best not to finish it off at all unless you can possibly confirm what it is. This is a very good case for why you should extract for yourself. At least if we knew it was really DMT, we could work on your technique, but if we don't even know that, it probably wouldn't be a smart idea.

I agree that with N,N, DMT and a proper GVG hit, I need more like 20 or more seconds to truly exhale clear. I have never purchased or sold DMT. I have never used anyone else's than my own extracted. I would sincerely recommend you extract your own if you did not do so this time. Self extraction closes off a lot of questions nicely - you know what it is, what was done to it, when and why.

Freebase N,N, DMT has a light floral scent. When vaped properly it has almost no odor. When burned it smells like burning plastic.

Also, I cannot help but wonder if your initial experience(s) were with 5-meo rather than N,N, DMT? Did you get much in the way of visuals back then?

I will probably just toss it as much as I want to experiment It just fell like a good idea to continue. One all of my previous experiences I used my GVG with a bic and had success every time. This time I had used both my torch and bic lighters, don't think I am going to finish it off now. My past experiences were visually intense to say the least. As far as I know I do not know what a floral scent is So I have no feed back for that one. Thanks for the reply"s though.

I remember a post about a year ago from a member who posted pictures of a baggy with a large spider on it and the stated that the crystals smelled very sweet. I remember it was identified as most likely being crystal meth as meth smells very sweet when vaped.

Well could be clean spice. But do they turn waxy if you crush them between your fingers? Freebase spice is a waxy substance. If they're dry and hard then you got something else.
Or fumarate. I've never made fumarate so I wouldn't know. Not even if it can look like this.

If it was meth he would know my now...

I put 1 crystal between my fingers and rubbed my fingers together, it turned to white powder and had no waxy feel to it.

Then it's not freebase DMT.

From the image I don't think that's DMT crystal either. Not quite the right geometry.
