I've only heard three terms for synthetic weed: potpourri, spice, and posh. Potpourri is the only term you can use at head shops without getting kicked out. Nobody actually calls it that though. Spice is the most common term, but conflicts with DMT slang. I've only heard posh a couple times, and a lot of people don't recognize the term. Terrible stuff. Nobody I've talked to, not even dealers, even recognize the term "spice." I guess we're stuck with deemsters, but I do like the term "dmitri". I've never heard of that one, but I'm gonna start using it. DiMethy(I)lTRIptamine, I like it. edit- P.S. Dune looks like a good book, I'm getting it! Nyan nyan, nyan nyan, nyan nyan nyan nyan nyan.

Dune is best enjoyed in book form. The 1984 film was in my opinion an abomination. However, the miniseries from 2000/2001 are both excellent. Both Dune and Children of Dune were turned into three 1.5 hour long episodes each, bringing the total to 9 hours for both stories. They adhere to the story line most of the series. The spice extends life. The spice expands consciousness. The spice is vital to space travel.

"Frank went on to tell me that much of the premise of Dune–the magic spice (spores) that allowed the bending of space (tripping), the giant worms (maggots digesting mushrooms), the eyes of the Fremen (the cerulean blue of the Psilocybe mushroom), the mysticism of the female spiritual warriors, the Bene Gesserits (influenced by tales of Maria Sabina and the sacred mushroom cults of Mexico)—came from his perception of the fungal life cycle, and his imagination was stimulated through the experience with the use of the magic mushroom." http://gadgets.boingboin...he-unsurprising-psy.html

Yes, the series were good. And it's about story not fx, the Dune thing (even though spfx are always fun too) Here's Children Of Dune part 3: The Golden Path ..the whole 9 hours are up on youtube.

I'm a big fan of Dune so caught the reference the first time I heard someone refer to DMT as Spice. Thus I felt it fitting and always have to clarify when someone refers to spice (I call DMT spice), generally they're talking about synthetic weed. I like both versions of the Dune movies. The old ones aren't at all true to the books but I grew up watching it so I have a fondness for it. Plus Sting and Patrick Stewart!! It can't be that bad But the sci-fi miniseries is way closer to the books. It can be slow though. It's one of those things that's easier to digest if you think of it as a screen 'play' rather than a movie (at least for me). The books owned though.

Ever looked at a bag of powdered MHRB? Looks like orange/pink spice sand...can you imagine an entire planet made of that? Mind blowing! When you're strange...faces come out of the rain...When you're strange...no one remembers your name...
