I was wondering if you guys thought that the new Thermovape Cera could be used to administer DMT. This would be used with the essential oils heater as dmt tends to liquify in a heated state. This seems to be perfect in my opinion. It's a consistent vape that can adequately heat up. If you watch how it works for regular oils, then you would see that it can produce massive vapor.

Anyways, I posted this here because I'm still a new member. I'm just curious if I could use this. I'm already planning on purchasing the loose leaf heating chamber, so if dmt could work then I'd gladly buy another mouthpiece and the essential oils heating chamber.

If you all want to see more about this device then you can go to the thermovape website or check out the thread at fuckcombustion. I'm interested in hearing what you all think about this new vaporizer.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

it says it can do botanical leaf as well as glycerol liquid and essential oils.

it looks pretty badass

there is nothing on the site to suggest it won't work, and i can't think of anything that would cause it not to.

the only possibility i can think of is if the temp is not adjustable, and is too high for DMT. but i don't think that to be all that likely.

EDIT: the metal bottom is a "switch" but i don't specifically know what it is for (if it is for heat adjustment this vape looks just about perfect)
Quote:
The switch is UL Listed, IP65, IK10 and rated to 1,000,000 cycles. We also offer the activation switch in an illuminated model. We have built the Cera to be easy to activate, use and clean.

just looked at the price!! whooboy you get what you pay for i suppose. it will just have to be a while before i get to try it (at least it will be well-reviewed by the nexus by then Smile)

From watching the video, it seems there would be a possibility of melted dmt falling either into your mouth or inside the device.

it seems they have different versions (one for herb, one for oil, one for glycerin)

i would imagine the ones meant to deal with liquid are sufficiently prepared for liquid DMT

Hey, after reading the long thread at fc, those guys really get technical btw, I think I have a pretty basic understanding of it.

The device is modular, so you can take in and out the cores that you want. They have one for oil, leaf, and ecigs. I'm thinking that the oil one could potentially handle dmt, even if it melts into liquid form. The price is around $299.95 if you get a battery, charging station, and the device for oils. It's 100 dollars more for another core. This is based on the stainless steel version. Titanium is double the price, but looks like sure-fire champ.

The way the heating core works is that it is straight convection. It will heat up a core, but the bowl is hardly, if ever, phased by the temp. You simply inhale and that transfers the heat through the device into the bowl. For oils, it does relatively well. In a demo, .5 grams of honey oil lasted about 36 consecutive heavy dose hits. They say that small amounts work just as well as.

The basic switch on the bottom is nothing more than an on/off switch. There's a button that you press in, it's a clicker, to turn it on. There's also a safety switch to ensure that the device is off for travel, etc. It runs off batteries that are specialized for the device. It's recommended to get the ones they make, but there should be others that work for it.

Also, the device is made out of pure ceramic. There is of course some metal, but for the most part this device is simple and has no circuitry to interfere with the vapor path. You wouldn't have to worry about damaging it. In a demo vid, the tester smash a plate with one of these and began to toke away again. It gets hot after about 10 minutes of toking, but this wouldn't be a problem with dmt as most people will either be in hyperspace or back from their voyage.

Overall, it seems like a neat device. My main thought was to get the loose-leaf version for herb, but I'm fairly certain that this could work for dmt with the oil cartridge. It's fairly expensive, which is the only downside. What do you guys think? It seems much safer than a pipe and lighter, or even a hot vapor genie.

I wrote so much to get all of the technical tidbits out of the way. I'm mainly interested in your opinions on how effective you all think this could be with dmt. Possibly the worst part would be that you'd need to have 2 mouthpieces to avoid getting the plastic taste when you vaped other things. I know that dmt can leave this on pipes. Also, the mouthpiece does a ufo spiral for the smoke if any of you know about that process.

EDIT: found it
Quote:
The newly-designed Cera vaporizer cartridges are 100% free from any plastic, fiber glass, silica rope, teflon, mylar, solder, or low grade metals, adhesives, glue, and epoxy; all cartridges are also free from treatments or coatings of any of our materials. Both the vaporization cartridge and vapor flow path are 100% ceramic and metal, with an operating temperature of 1300 degrees Fahrenheit. (The devices of our competitors melt at half of that temperature.)

would that be too hot a temperature for DMT?

man, you can either pay $250 for a liquid-only vape or 350 for an herb vape with a liquid container...

though i imagine we could easily come up with a way to rig the herb vape for liquid (copper scrubbers don't cost $99)

At that price you should definitely also use it to pleasure your wife/girlfriend. It vibrates, right? Laughing
