Hello, fellow adventures; I've frequently read around the forums, and finally decided to join up. A little background on who I am and where I'm coming from:

Been using psychedelics and exploring metaphysical concepts and paths since I was 13 years old, starting my journey with marijuana and an interest in occultism. Over many years, I have explored the worlds of LSD, Psilocybin, DXM, 2c-I, 2c-E, LSA, and only once, DMT.

As my psychedelic journeys evolved, so did my interest in the mystical, unseen worlds around and within us. I have explored Buddhism, "Modern" shamanism, many different branches of occultism, Raja yoga, lucid dreaming, astral projection, energy healing, and Chinese medicine.

My entire life has been a roller coaster of searching for truth, intent on finding my own answers, and exploring as many options as I can. I was drawn to the nexus by it's community comprised mostly of intelligent, open-minded, philosophical and spiritual people. I'm sure I'll fit right in, and I look forward to the many discussions and shared experiences we will have.

A pleasure to meet you, brothers and sisters. Big grin

Hi Zukala,

Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you so much for taking the time to really look around, as well as taking the time to post an essay that is a nice introduction of yourself. Much appreciated.

Sounds like you have had a lot of drug experience. How did you like DMT? Was it smoked or oral? Did it give you any answers in your search, or like the majority of us, just more questions?

Do you have a focus in your life - you know career, education, family, belief system/philosophy? Or do you find yourself constantly just searching and trying/seeking new things out? Anything else you'd care to share would be appreciated.

Glad to see another lurker signed up.

Again, a warm welcome to you.

Welcome, good to have another lucid dreamer on board Smile I'm sure you will find the Nexus to be an extremely supportive and knowledge rich resource as I have found it to be.

If you are so inclined, and your first DMT experience was meaningful to you, post the the trip in the First Steps into Hyperspace section! You sound like an introspective and articulate person, I would be interested to read about your experience and how it meshed with you and your other journeys.

Again, welcome!
You can't do anything about yesterday, but you can do everything with tomorrow.

Everything I write on this forum is pure gibberish and fanciful nonsense!

I had smoked it with one of my best friends in the forest at night. It gave me no proper answers, but it did indeed perplex me.

I am used to extreme alterations in my consciousness in a short period of time due to my practice of astral projection, but the experience interested me merely for the fact that entities began to bound towards me and my friend out of the darkness. Normally, I haven't had any entities interested in me while tripping except for a very unfortunate occurrence while on LSD.

Strange and colorful orange entities just kind of...bounced toward us; comical and playful things, they seemed just as curious about the two people sitting in an old grave in the forest at night as we were about them. I also felt an interesting merging with the plant life that was around us.

An intriguing experience to say the least, and one that is sadly hard to recreate, as DMT is so very hard to find where I am living. But it did add another step upon my path wisdom-searching.

Mm, I have been drawn towards more paths than I can count, and there is one thing i've learned: we are constantly changing beings, we should not seek to follow any path created by others, rather we should pave our own path, and add to it the useful tidbits we learn from observing and dipping into the paths of others.

My own personal belief system is a heavy mix of Buddhist/Yogic philosophy, protection aspects of Western occultism, a few tidbits taken from the Christian and Catholic religions, some beliefs taken from the neo-shamanic movement and of course, my own personal conclusions and revelations had during contemplative meditation and the journey through life.

As for my focus, I have the tendency to teeter-totter between utter contentedness and a fiery drive to learn more, create, experience, and explore. These phases can last days, months, years. I no longer search for happiness, nor "enlightenment", as I know these things are within me and cannot be found in external things, yet I believe my search for wisdom shall never end.

Thank you, Oneironaut!

I might consider writing out my experience, although it is not in the least as enthralling and perplexing as most of what I have read on the forum. It was a mild breakthrough at most, but just interesting enough to share with others.

Hi Zukala,

Welcome to the dmt nexus! Thanks for your intro essay.

I'm interested in whether you have ever used psychedelics for something specific from occult theories - i.e. some kind of techniques or rituals. I've always wondered if and how this could work, but since I never could get myself to read books about occultism to know of anything in particular concerning it, I was never able to experiment with more than total improvisation - which was astonishingly interesting and helpful, but still leaves my question open...

wishing you the best for your path.

Eheheh, Back when I was a little younger and quite reckless, I was fond of chaos magic and "The dark arts". More than once have I ingested a hefty amount of something or another and invoked a being of delirium and euphoric madness, for better or worse. Generally if I am working with rituals, I like to be clear minded. There is also the problem of, depending on the ritual, the large amount of spoken content to remember.

It is quite a pain in the ass when your trying to do something very "serious" and the only thing you can seem to do is chuckle while the spiraling vortex of psychedelia is ravaging your mind.

I do enjoy a good meditation in the forest on mostly any substance though. Tuning in to nature and the unseen energies around it makes for a very balancing and rejuvenating experience, and the entities I find there are generally quite pleasant.
