The inca were not known to use any psychedelics I think other than anadenanthera..huachuma was used heavily in the andes but I think thats more the chavin, moche and maybe nazca peoples..
I always got a heavy inca or at least andean vibe when working with anadenanthera colobrina..that would be interesting to work with in Inca temples if it was not for all the sickness. Id probly go for snuffed or oral DMT, or huachuma..
Nice report Oly

Actually if I remember correctly, I read somewhere that the Inka did use Ayahuasca, but
ingested this as enemas. Can't be absolutely sure if I remember that correctly though.
And I also recall reading A.Peregrina seeds were found at ancient Inka burial sites,
but this could also have been burial sites from another southern american culture.
I clearly remember Yopo seeds having been found there, as well as Yopo snuffs & Snuff boxes.
They were said to be abt. 5000 years old and still contained decent amounts of NN,DMT & 5-HO-DMT.
You'll have to dig into this to be sure though.
However Peru, homeland of the Inka's, is know to have a significant Ayahuasquero culture
that still lives on today. Peru has both Huachuma shamans(In the Andes) and Ayahuasca shamans(In the rainforrest-rich east of Peru)
So who knows how far back this Peruvian Ayahuasca tradition goes... Perhaps all the way back to the Inka.
Amazing experience, Olympusmon.
I too have felt that straight NN through a pipe is an unbalanced experience,
a bad, overpowered connection to the other world. The addition of Caapi is really
needed to slow that NN-roar down to a trickle, a reverie. I smoked good changa once
and this became immediately evident to me. It was SOOO much slower, softer, more gentle
& more Maternal compaired to straight NN. Changa seemed a much more mercifull, patient teacher. Ayahasca and Changa have this same spirit. A grandmother-like spirit.
However straigh NN, because it is so ruthless & impatient a teacher, is an excellent
Ego-Smasher, in proper doses a true Ego-cide. This can be handy for a quick correction,
a quick attack on the ego to crush it up, which may at times be nececairy when you catch your Ego on having become monstrous and too influential over your life. NN is the teacher that scares you straight & disciplines you firmly to face your shadow.
I guess both these spirits have their use. Depending on the situation.
