I eyeballed them. Did your neeedles look like the second to last photo I added?

yes they were pretty similar, there just wasnt as many of them.

maybe the difference was due to the relative weight of the crytals. if the needles were fluffier, gram for gram, then the same amount by sight may not be the same amount by weight, if you follow me.

if you could get hold of some mg scales it would solve this issue.

I kept them seperate and will weigh them then let you know, after some coffee, it's still early.

you were right abour the weight thing, the pile that equaled 50mg was big and yielded a full blown breakthrough!!! the fluffy nature of it decieved me. I still wonder about the nmt, is it in the crystals that crashed out of the saturated solvent? If nmt doesn't crystalize completely then was all the crashed crystals most likely DMT? does this seem rational?

Regardless of the answers this extraction has raised in me, I must admit that I'm very happy with the end product and it is very powerful and clean. It smells like flowers, yummy yummy flowers. my 3rd and fourth puuls of white opaque cloudy solvent is starting to drop crystals and I love watching them grow.

I thought acacia confusa was going to be a lot of hassle with defats and gooey junk but I love it more than mimosa, i also think it extracts cleaner than mimosa.

From two pulls 300ml each I obtained over 4 grams of spiceand the 3rd aand 4th are looking very promising so far.

Does anyone think that the naptha isn't pulling the nmt? From deduction I would assume that the crystals are so fluffly and dry, that there is very little nmt in them. If nmt is gooey then where is it in my final product? any knowledge/theories about this???

i cant really help with the NMT issue as i dont really know anything about the differences between the 2.

When you finish pulling it would be good if you could post a final yield. have you tried cybs salt tek to maximise your yield?

No but I am aware of the icecream salt addded to help push out more of the goodies.
Can sea salt be used? I'm pretty sure iodized salt's a no no. Maybe I'll try it my bark aint going nowhere.

Hey thick-light, can you post a link to the tek you used to do this whole process. I was getting really good yields with MH, 3.8 clean grams per lb of root bark, and I am super excited to start working with the acacia confusa. I read here that you boiled then basified it. Are you going to try to do an A/B extraction. Im thinking of getting 1kg of acacia confusa, and using 1lb for a A/B pull and the 2nd lb for the boil / naoh method.

A link to the tek you used to do the boil would be great. Im gonna use the A/B method I used for MHRB on the acacia and post up on here how it works out.

all the little needle like crystals are dmt they crashed while I was crashing from need of sleep.

I was thinking if i warm it uop then shake it up and decant asap I can retrieve them, but i'm oopen to suggestions.

Sop far I've pulled over 5 and 1/2 grams from 500 grams of a confusa but i'm still pulling more. here are some more pics.

The last two are dmt needles that crashed out while I was sleeping, any Ideas on how to retrieve them?

the concept of 'solubility' and NP solvents is more complex than discussed usually..
it is also a case of charge, meaning that the molecule is more attracted to the NP solvent, while not necessarily 'soluble' in the absolute sense..

NMT turns rapidly yellow over time..

DMT has always been found to be the major alkaloid of A. confusa..

Thanks nen, whenever I get a unusually high yield I get a little suspicious that maybe something is off.
