I write sort of traditional experimental pop songs for a band in San Francisco but I moved 4 hours away, so over the course of this year I have been messing around with MIDI. And I know from past experience, a guy who works with Steve Albini, Blonde Redhead blah blah blah, that mixed our record that it can come out sounding analog. This is not professionally mixed, or mastered. It just is what it is.
It is me messing with Just Intonation and old school samples of Farfisa and Rhythm Ace beats. Kinda like early Kraftwerk or Cluster just not nearly as intricate or spacey for that matter. The video was made from a fog storm we had a couple of nights ago. It still needs editing, especially that space in the middle, but hope you guys like it and that it reminds you of spice ridden journeys.
