I've read about Passionflower serving as a possible maoi when taken in high dosages. since ordering caapi and rue are currently out of question (im going through a move right now and sort of don't have an actual "address" yet if that makes any sense) would passionflower (easily obtainable from a store) work? I have a bottle with little passiflora incarnata capsules, each capsule containing 350 mg of passionflower. how many capsules or grams do you think i'd need to consume to have my mao's inhibited? a rough estimate is fine. I'm not gonna smoke it because i heard smoking too much passionflower is harsh. i plan on dumping X amount of capsules into some water and having a type of crudely made MAOI-tea. then i'll sip the MAOI-tea 30 minutes before sipping my acacia confusa tea (cold water extracted) and see if that works. i tried acacia confusa tea earlier today by itself and didnt get the dmt effects although i kind of "tranquilized" myself for 10 minutes. just fell into the chair and couldn't really move or form sentences lol. it was like i was getting there but then my body destroyed the dmt (possibly disproving the idea that confusa is active without a maoi)so....how much passionflower do you think would be effective? couldn't find any answers on here, theshroomery, or any other sites for that matter. thanks guys!

I wonder that you didn't find the answer here. The alkaloids in Passiflora incarnata are 0.1 - 0.3 (or 0.5) %. You find some extractions here yielding these yields. So it's much work for very little product.. So with 350 mg per capsule it would leave you with 100 capsules for a starter dose of around 100 to 175 mg harmalas. But maybe the full spectrum would be a bit more efficient. Let us know Better of, buying the herb and maybe making tea of 100 to 200 G leaves, reducing the volume to a manageable amount.. This could be expensive ?

I have never taken it orally, but sometimes I smoke a small bowl of it a couple of minutes before smoking freebase. 100% without a doubt it lengthens and changes the experience.

..0.3% is not a bad percentage, (same as chacruna for dmt), especially if you're growing it (P. incarnata handles snow) ..in Passifloras of Interestnen888 wrote: Quote:...1996 p. inacarnata + acacia extract huasca experiment (an incarnata vaporized extract experiment is referred to in Voogelbreinder 2009)

'It made the tryptamines very dreamy, colorful, and beautiful...very feminine.' ...After a linear 'plateau' of 30 minutes, effects gradually subsided over 2-4 hours, with a sense of sedation up to 5hrs afterwards. Overall, it was very positive...'It lacked the punch of rue, but had such a lovely dreamy quality...very sensual...'..."
