First, I'm happy to have found this site. The maturity level is far above many of the psychedelic forums I've lurked on. I've always been a DIY kind of girl and like to do my research before I leap headlong into anything. I grow my own herbs and some vegetables(Greek Basil, Spicy Oregano, Cilantro, Tomatoes, yellow Bell peppers and Ghost peppers), dye my own hair, and do repairs on my own house.
I certainly have tripping experience, but have never taken those trips lightly or for granted, and therefore maybe a couple handfuls of times spanning the last 25 years. (I'm nearly 40)
I heard about DMT from a friend, and was intrigued to say the least. The more I've read about it, the more I'm reminded of Clive Barker's novel "The Great and Secret Show", I could swear that book was written after Mr. Barker took a DMT voyage and landed right smack dab in Quiddity, "The Dream Sea."
So now, I can say that I'm equal parts curious-to-know-more, and absolutely terrified about the prospect of visiting Quiddity myself. I'm here to learn.

Hello Melody, glad to have you here! You are right that DMT can be some pretty intimidating stuff- even with decades of psychedelic work it still takes me a bit of nerving up each time I take the plunge. You'll find that your experience with the conventional psychedelics will make it much easier to grasp and deal with the things that DMT has to show you. It has something uniquely different to offer each of us. There's no hurry, and we have many members at the Nexus who really took their time easing into it after many months of research and participating in discussions here. Looking forward to hearing more about your journey!

Hello Melody Lee, Welcome to the Nexus Sister! I enjoyed your Introductory Essay very much. Felt a distinct resonance too, being in my mid-40's, being a home grower of medical cannabis and San Pedro Cactus, a past home grower of psychedelic mushrooms and a home extractor of DMT. And, I do remember how much I enjoyed Barker's "The Great and Secret Show." It's funny, I recently tore this place apart looking for my copy. I think if you take a good look around or even a little glance you will love what you find here. I certainly hope so. I'd like to invite you to join us crazies in the chat if you should be so inclined . . . Again, a very warm welcome to you. "But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."-Rick Doblin, Ph.D. MAPS President, MAPS Bulletin Vol. XX, No. 1, pg. 2Hyperspace LOVES YOU

Hi Melody welcome to the Nexus. Here you'll find tons of information about DMT and many other entoghens. Let me tell you that it doesn't matter how much you read about DMT it doesn't compare to the experience itself. And each and everytime is completely diferent. But enough of that, I hope you'll find out yourself sooner or later. Finally, I look forward to reading you report on your first experience with D if you decide to go for it. Peace & Love "The Medicine Will Always Be There For Those Who Seek It"

Welcome to this here nexus! May you find everything you wanted to know about DMT, this forum has a wealth of facts (and other stuff) regarding the molecule. As for the experience itself, pretty much nothing can prepare you for it, since there is nothing quite like it. But do not fear, start low, go easy, take your time, make yourself at home. P.S ghost peppers rock my socks. Art Van D'lay wrote:Smoalk. It. And. See.

Welcome Melody! I hope you find your way to the experience. My heart pounds with nervous anticipation every time (granted only a handfull of times under my belt).. but sooooo woth it. I would imagine if you are not apprehensive with a healthy dose of fear before a DMT trip, then something has been lost. The Nexus gave me the knowledge to extract and the courage to take the leap... hope it does the same for you! -*O* You can't do anything about yesterday, but you can do everything with tomorrow.
Everything I write on this forum is pure gibberish and fanciful nonsense!
