weird how climate must work..im really just down the road from bellingham..Im not in vancouver..Im just down the road from the white rock boarder. It seems like there is little pockets of microclimates all over the PNW.

yeah, Bham microclimate is strange. We have an info sheet at the garden center I work at that compares growing seasons in the region. Ours is close to half the length of Vancouver BC.

Does anyone else find that their bridgesii tend to get thirstier during winter dormancy than their pachanoi?

I'm worried to water them much as I don't want them to get stretchy on me, but they are starting to look a little pruny.

If there dormant you shouldn't be watering at all.I don't water all winter but my bridgesii definitely looks the worst out of all my cacti, but it rebounds plenty fine as I bring it our for spring.

Nice cactus garden! I think they are beautiful plants so it's always nice to see a healthy collection. I want to have a garden of all kinds of medicinal plants. I just started an aloe plant so we'll see where it goes from there!
