Hello DMT Nexus,
My name is the Blue Octopus and I believe the time has come for me to join your community. I’ve come to a point in my life to where I feel that my knowledge of the world should be put to good use. I’m having trouble finding a proper transition sentence, so I’m just going to jump in to a description of myself.
I am daily marijuana smoker, and I have delved into the world of mushrooms a few times in my past. I myself have never tried DMT, seen it, or even heard of somewhere I could get it. I have however, performed multiple extractions. I am just shy of my degree in Biochemisty, and included in my background are areas of : Organic Chemistry (Extractions/ IR/NMR/ GC/Chromatography/ Distillation/Sytnthesis/ Recrystallization), Analytical Chemistry (Titrations/Spectroscopy/Fluorescence/pH), Biophysical Chemistry (Drug Binding Interactions, Kd/Ka) Genetics, Cell Biology, and a little knowledge of fungi anatomy. Some of the extractions I have performed include (I also still have the reports) Caffeine Extraction from Tea leave and Chlorophyll from Spinach. I also have recrystallized a decent number of amount compounds, such as ones from the previous said experiments and pure Aspirin.
So I guess the reason I come to this community is to put my knowledge to good use. I look forward to reading some of the research essays I have already stumbled upon as well as my first DMT extraction. I feel like im ready for DMT. I fully understand the process and seem to smirk at the idea of being further enlightened from the experience. I hope to learn from you guys how to come about the proper plants, and I look forward to using my knowledge to push this community forward.

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Hello elpulpoazul/Blue Octopus,

Welcome to the Nexus.

Your chemistry/science credentials sound impressive. You will find yourself in good company here. I'm sure you'll get along well with all our science folk.

You have come to the Nexus during a period of forced radical evolution. The best plant source for extracting DMT has become illegal/unavailable to psychonauts. Looking around in the forum area will show you right away how much research is being done not only on extracting from other plant sources but growing mimosa hostills from seed. I am positive this is an area where your knowledge could help to push this community forward.

So, please take a good look around, post in the Welcome Area and I certainly hope to see you around.

Again, welcome to the Nexus.

Welcome aboard. We can always use more chemists here. I think you'll enjoy the process as much as the fruit when it comes to your extraction work. Cheers Smile

Thanks for some response! I plan on performing some extractions on local plants until I can procure better sources. I have already learned a great deal from this site and plan on lookin in to canary reed grass, as well as this strange plant from my garden this year.
