alright i found cannabis flower essential oil. cannabis, not hemp, meaning there was once thc in it. this has the thc removed. i contacted the some people to see if they remove the CBD as well. nf this oil does contain CBD, if its even legal in the uk, would i be able to achieve the sedative effects that you get from indica marijuana? i was thinking i could put a few drops on too my herbal smoking mixture and get the sedation with a kanna effect... its an idea, but i want to know if its plausible

Just to be clear, hemp is still cannabis. I don't think it'll get you stoned, but go for it. The stuff is pretty good for you anyway.

CBD is not psychoactive, so no you probably will not get any noticeable sedative effects. If that does contain CBD though it could have healing properties that are pretty sought after such as muscle relaxation and some pain relief. Let us know if you get a reply back on if it contains CBD or not and in what levels. Many here is the US that use cannabis for pain relief are looking for good sources of CBD isolated from THC for pain relief, muscle relaxation and anti-cancer benefits.
Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

i believe that CBD is not psychoactive.

though some say it affects the psychoactivity of active cannibinoids, there is no conclusive data either way (that i know of)

It is doubtful whether you'll get any CBD from it...you also make a lot of assumptions here about what is and isn't in this oil.

The essential oil will be containing myrcene, farnesene and other essential oil terpenes commonly found in the flowers. whether there are any cannabinoids in it will only depend on how they made the extraction (or distillation). If you get this info we'll be able to throw some educated guesses here.

well he said that the cannabis buds are steam distilled at temperatures which break down the thc, but there is still cbd inside it. i find this very interesting.

just to be clear heres what they said

You are correct about the THC, although Industrial Hemp is bred to contain very low quantities of THC, any remaining would still be destroyed by the process of steam distillation, or the vast majority at least.

This is not true for CBD however, as the temperature at which it degrades is higher than THC, enough for it to be extracted by steam distillation.
