Hello Psyconauts and beleivers! Please let me introduce myself...

I guess i should start off by saying that only in the past year have i been seeking alternate truth. When i say "alternate truth", i mean truth besides what i was taught for 25 years of my life to be "truth". I was raised in a Christian-based religion that basically restricted any drug use at all. Alcohal consumption in very limited quantities was allowed.

I am no part of that religion anymore. In-fact, i was outcast, and am no longer allowed to talk to any of my former freinds or family. This lead me to search for alternate truth.

I coworker of mine told me about this revolutionary, completely life-changing element or molecule called DMT. It interested me greatly, and for the past 6 months i've been absoultely enamored with what i've found out about it!

Honestly, i am somewhat scared to try it, because i have been taught that using drugs of this caliber can lead to interacting with demons, or dark spirits. On the other hand, i feel that DMT might truly show me the answers to questions that i've never had satisfactoraly answered.

I am seeking truth, and I hope that you all can really help me find it. Thanks for reading!

Let me be the first to give you a warm welcome to the DMT-Nexus! I'm truly sorry that you have been outcasted from your family and that you're no longer able/allowed to talk to them. Must be very difficult at times.

I understand your reluctance to try the molecule. I spent a few months doing research and when I finally had done the extraction, my DMT lay around in the freezer for a looong time before I could gather up the courage to try it. Don't worry, you'll hear 'the call' when you're ready to give it a try. But don't expect DMT to answer any of your questions, it will create only more questions.

In the meantime, you could give other psychedelic substances a try. DMT isn't the only molecule that can help you in your quest, there are many like, such as Psilocybin in magic mushrooms, mescaline in cacti, DMT and beta-carbolines in ayahuasca. These substances are taken orally and while their trips are much longer lasting than vaporized DMT, they are much less "intense". They too can provide very deep and healing insights.

Have you tried extracting DMT yet? Or have you only heard about the molecule and are you doing research to understand it more thoroughly before embarking on quest?

Not sure if I have the right or even moxy to post here as I am SO very far from enlightenment it's funny. My niece, 30 years my junior fits the bill a lot better.

Thank you so much for sharing that informative Introductory Essay with us. What an amazing journey your life has been so far. I too felt deeply sorry and some sympathy (without having had a directly similar experience) when you talked about being cast out. I think a LOT of people here can resonate with and relate deeply to those feelings.

Personally, it made me feel deep sadness that you cannot have both your deep and family filled community of faith AND the freedom to explore new ideas, consciousness, etc. Many of us here believe that the entheogenic plants put us MUCH closer to some sort of truth or higher power or ultimate connection that transcends the death of the body, or . . . . the entheogenic experience, especially when deep, is so MUCH MORE direct and experiential, than say listening to a bored and burned out elder lecture on something that he is literally 2000 years removed from.


I want to echo what VoidTraveler said, nothing wrong with being a bit scared to jump into just about the MOST powerful and potentially transformative psychedelic experience available to a human. God or evolution or aliens or something covered this planet in psychoactive mushrooms. Many cultures call them the "food of the gods." I believe we were meant to partake - other wise they wouldn't be so prevalent, so darned fruitful, . You can get spore syringes and even mushroom grow kits online. There's a lot of online places and books that will show you how to set it up at home with things as simple as a pressure cooker, some jars, some rye, etc. Then you just need the spores and the spores are legal to purchase. Also, there are spore trade rings online.

Maybe read some of the reports in all the sub-fora. Check out the Mushroom reports, the LSD reports, the Cactus reports the Other Psychoactives reports.

I would also recommend looking into podcasts or youtube videos of a famous psychedelic speaker called Terence McKenna. He had a LOT of interesting ideas about things like psychedelics, the psychedelic experience, role of culture, etc. Stuff that will crack your head open most likely. It sure did mine. He was a very very well read and well spoken man with a great long term memory. He would do speaking engagements and folks wound up calling him "The Bard." Sadly, he passed away in 2000 (I think) may he RIP. I'd recommend checking out anything by him except his "Timewave Zero" theory, which was just silly in my opinion.

Being outcast is undoubtedly the most difficult thing i've experienced thus-far in my life.

I have had two experiences with Psilocybin, both of which were not good nor bad, just different. Honestly i don't think i took enough to fully experience the magic. I have experienced LSD once, and it was the most life-changing, magnificant thing I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I can't say enough about it!I have no experience with Mescaline, but would LOVE to try it. I hear that it can be heaven on Earth

I haven't tried extracting DMT because i simply CANNOT find where to attain DMT-containing plants/substances to do the extract. I've been searching for MONTHS with no success But i do hear it's call, very frequently, and feel i will be presented to it when she wants to be found by me. I haven't really considered taking DMT orally, but will now thanks to you.

I understand that experiencing DMT may lead to more questions, but that's ok by me. I'm young, and have many years to get answers to my questions.

Your response convinces me FURTHER to treat this "food of the gods" with MUCH respect, as i truly do intend. People who partake of these substances just to "get high" are simply missing the point.

I have looked into growing shrooms at home, and it's suprisingly easy!!! But alas, my wife is VERY opposed to this (she is still part of that religion)

I have read and watched much information on DMT, Peyote, etc, but really do need to listen to Terance McKenna, thank you for the suggestion!
