alright, this is a matter which really annoys me. these legal smoking blends made with synthetic cannabanoids are very bad for you. apparently theres something called a whitey, where you smoke to much and you go pale, then you throw up.

today i witnessed after seeing someone smoking 1 joint of mostly tobacco lined with some synth blend, the guy went pale, then turned around and threw up a huge amount, then he started twitching and was unresponsive for 10 minutes. i was knocked out. when he got back up he just started smoking more of the synth again.

i dont think this is wrong because its synthetic, i think its wrong because this stuff is untested and sent to the smoke shops for teenagers to smoke when llooking for a buzz. i just think its important to let you guys no not to mess around with this stuff.

I honestly, could not agree more.. Marijuana in it's own right is an antiametic, stop's you throwing up, most people "whitey" off marijuana because they mix it with tobacco.

I was in London when Mephedrome hit the UK quite hard, it was a legal synthetic, lost many friends to it, even had a friend die from use of it. The majority of these synthetic drug's are pumped in from China and Middleseastern Countries, imported through loop holes in drug legislation. Quite an issue really..

People need to stop and think before they take something that's legal, because it's legal does not mean it's in ANY WAY safe for you, the majority of these products are untested and simply are profit generators.

Stick to the illegal stuff.. it's illegal because people have tried and tested it millions if not trillions of times over, that's exactly why they don't like people using it.. xD

Synthetic/non-synthetic, legal/illegal... they are not guidelines to follow.

The first distinction is merely technical, and the second distinction is a byproduct of corporate interests.

Just do NOT ingest/smoke/snort what you don't know. Either grow your psychoactives yourself, or do your research and get them tested before using. When the law is irresponsible, you have to take responsibility yourself.

But of course 100% agreed with the reminder that legal highs can be very harmful.

I have enjoyed the synthetic cannabinoids in the past. But that was at a time when I had a lot of pain and very little bud.

I smoked grams and grams of all kinds of alphanumeric soup. Finally it caught up with me with a rough ride using AM-2201 - Erowid published my report under "My first OD." That made me take caution and NOT procure any more.

And now the harvest is in and this is a very good year. We procured a Harlequin clone and from that one clone came about 6 ounces of bud of which I got 3. This is such good medicine and it doesn't crush my cognition or memory.

I gotta say the synths are just that - synthetic and designed for just one specific receptor or use. Mother Nature evolved marijuana then much later she evolved us with our endogenous cannabinoid systems.

So, the marijuana "high" be it medicinal or recreational is so much more full spectrum than any of those synthetics. I mean I used to combine them - you know AM-2201 with UR-44, etc. Still nothing like the actual weed.


P.S.: If you are going to use these powders or smoking blends, I recommend NEVER procuring anything that doesn't fully list all ingredients. You have the right to know what you are smoking, taking into your body, etc. Also, if you get into trouble and need medical help, at least you can tell them what you took.

The term "whitey" has been used for a long time in Scotland and refers to smoking too much, usually low-grade block hash known as, 'soapbar' (and/or smoking a cigarette immediately after smoking a joint); vomiting, fatigue, an off-colour pallor and general unpleasantness are typical but that particular term is nothing new. It's also possible for a novice smoker to "hit a whitey", as it's known, smoking strong weed although it's nowhere near as common.

I smoked synthetics plenty of times when "Spice" first came out, but I disliked the much heavier bodyload and extraordinarily long-lasting hangover/sluggishness which followed their usage. Totally different sort of high though, I'd go so far as to call it "dumbing" as I felt distinctly sluggish and slow after smoking them, as well as far less creative or productive.

To be honest, it's far easier and more cost-effective to smoke decent weed or hash than it is to procure those shitty little 3g bags for extortionate prices. I'd pick Sister Mary over a Nikki Minaj equivalent anytime!

I tried a legal smoking blend called "kronic" which has a number of synthetic cannibinoids.. I did not have a good time at all. I felt paranoid, twitchy, sped up and basically in a general state of psychosis for a good couple hours. It worries me that these can be sold legally, while the real deal which is much safer and more relaxing remains illegal and demonised. Defintely stay away from "kronic"

TBH I've had 'whiteys' on just regular good ol' cannabis.

Cannabis didn't make my lower left lip inflate for 7 days though. Cheers for that AM2201 OD *shakes fist*

Right around this time two years ago is when I first was introduced to these synthetic weed blends, at first it was just a thing to smoke like it was just a cheap knockoff, but then it became a use for when the real weed dried up on campus, and then I used them to keep 'piss clean' to find a job... eventually I more or less got hooked onto them, trying every kind I could get my hands onto... it really was a distorted time of my life. Eventually one of the particular brands really kicked my ass one day and I said enough was enough, I'm sticking to the real weed, and never again have I touched those blends... it's strange to think that during the time I still used them I thought nothing was wrong with my habits, but after I stopped using them and I was able to look back at it... It's a damn good thing I stopped using them. No regrets, but that doesn't mean I can't learn from it either.

the only time in my life that i actually felt like i was legitimately going to DIE from drug use was off of a synthetic blend called "head trip". I swear i had a small seizure or something.

I literally took 2 hits and spent 2-3 hours plastered to the couch, unable to move, heart beating so hard i thought it was going to pop out of my chest, entire body was completely numb, couldn't feel my head, my mouth... couldn't get from the couch to my studio to call 911... hallucinating... doing everything that i could to calm my heartbeat..

like i said, i couldn't even stand up without damn near blacking out.

It was the scariest couple hours of my life.

Eventually I was able to fall asleep but ended up feeling like a mental midget for a few days after.

We have sooooo many strains and varieties of cannabis that I honestly see little point in synths, particularly as many seem to have a rather nasty side to them.

Viva la Marijuana! She treats us good, there is no need for alternatives!
