Hello Nexus
I was content being a lurker here at the nexus, but upon reading many threads, the warm, intellectual and friendly nature of its members inspired me to write this little intro essay thing. No doubt inspired by this wonderful chemical and many others, this last year has seen me redevelop a strong interest in psychedelics after somewhat of a hiatus.
My use got to a point where I had gained what I was searching for, but reading and watching videos on aliens and all that new age physics type stuff, I have decided that these substances may be the hand to help guide me on some new journeys. Cacti are my favorite thing and i'm yet to have an experience with D M T. I came very close once, but a friend of mine had a rough experience with mushrooms where I sat with him for support, and it got smoked on me haha. I thought that it was the spirit of D M T's way of telling me i'm not ready as since then up untill the last few weeks it has been completely out of my life, despite searching high and low. It feels like recently it's come back into my life with a force so....here I am.
Anyway, I look forward to learning and contributing what I know and sharing my experience.
Peace

Hello Yawningman, Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you so much for taking time to write and submit an Introductory Essay. There are a number of us who found ourselves returning to psychedelics after a long hiatus. Speaking for myself, it was a very very good choice. Kind of sounds like you have not yet looked into extracting your own for DMT . . . I do understand that MHRB is nearly impossible to source these days but lots of work is being done here on acacias, phalaris grasses, and listing sources for seed vendors (grow your own!) for entheogenic plants. If you are in fact planning on smoking DMT for the first time, I'd suggest checking over the Methods of Administration forum here - it's very important to get your dose in quickly, make sure the first hit is the best and in my opinion, use as little DMT as possible to achieve desired effects (don't waste). The links in the upper right hand corner of your forum pages are also invaluable - same stuff that came with your welcoming PM. I'd recommend checking it all out. Again, welcome to the Nexus. Hello and thankyou Pandora.
I have explored sourcing my own D M T although i'm not in too much of a rush. I've been growing a number of acacia species here in Australia as I've been into entheogenic plants for a few years. Those damn cows have trampled all of my good obtusifolias haha. Oh well, we press on hmmm.
Thank you for the advice regarding dosage, I hadn't really thought of it that way, wasting D M T. Makes perfect sense. I'll take the time to read all of the forum rules and what not. Great source of info.
Peace Nexus

This is exciting news. Nexus is in the middle of a period of forced very fast evolution - pushing forward hardcore on researching new plant sources and extraction teks for DMT. I got a LOL over the cows and couldn't help but think to myself, "Well maybe there will be psilocybe mushrooms under the cow patties," I look forward to reading your future posts. Please be active and I'm sure you will be promoted soon. Join us in the chat room if you would like . . .
