hey what u guys find best position-sitting up or laying down?

I only have experience sitting cross-legged in half lotus while blasting off, as I always meditate beforehand and just stay in that position. I've only had around a dozen experiences though so someday when I have more I will experiment with differnt positions. I'm sure laying down would be great. Now that I think about it, I think I may have laid on my stomach before on the floor just to see what it's like, but I can't really remember.

I like sitting down leaning backwards on something.

For seated trips my absolute best position - one that seemed to promote full on launches from my body, etc., was sitting in a reclined (recliner) position. I don't know, there was something about that position that made me feel like I was already in a spaceship, then I would vape my doses and . . .


But, in general, I fully lay down. I am of the complete and utter surrender school when it comes to smoking spice. Therefore my laying down position is surrender mudras in a way - laying on my back with my legs and arms slightly spread and my palms up, relaxed. DMT, take me away!

Reclined but not lying flat, for sure. I was pretty uncomfortable on many of my first attempts, not having a couch or chair that would support my head while sitting, and it was very distracting. Finally got a cheap used recliner from craigslist and it's so much better, feels like being in a spaceship like Pandora said. But it's still vertical enough to hit a bong without spilling. Planning on getting a folding "zero gravity" chair soon as well to take the journey outdoors.

I can see how lying flat would be good, but the problem for me is using a bong in that position. I have thought about setting up a hookah type device that would let me just toke on a flexible hose, and leave the actual bowl and chamber off to the side of the bed. That might be nice. Especially if it were self lighting via charcoal or something. Hmmm...

I always want to try laying down in bed but I feel like I would be too vulnerable. I always get sleep paralysis if I lay flat on my back when I sleep, so sitting up a little bit feels better. at least with a few pillows to prop me up some. I know, I'm probably worrying about nothing, but once I get these things in my head, it's hard to get them out.

I am currently using a Glass Vaporgenie (GVG) pipe. I take the hits fully sitting up. Usually one of the last things I remember is setting the pipe safely down and lying back. I do use a small pillow for head support

I can see how that would work for others, but the normal rules of vaping don't seem to apply to me. I've never had a "last hit", could always have taken more, and would have needed to for a full breakthrough I guess. But long before breaking through I've got such a heavy body load that sitting upright in bed would just be too hard, even lifting the pipe is sometimes too much effort. I guess the closest I've come was sitting in bed, but I was leaned back against the wall and it wasn't too comfortable. So recliner/zero grav chair FTW for me. But I've also been considering getting one of those big wraparound pillows that's shaped like the back of a chair, that might be a good compromise for bed toalking.

I use a GVG, I take my hits sitting up on my bed, then I usually position myself laying down with a pillow or two under my head and feet. Although most of the time I end up in a different position I feel that this one is the most comfortable for me.

Zero gravity chair for me as well...feels like a pilots seat when all loaded up and ready for take off. Thanks mom for the great x mas gift a few years back - I'm using it like you would never believe

Lately I've been laying in bed... and really enjoy it
...really with a high enough dose it doesn't matter anyway...regardless your up, up, and away!

I've always ended up in a reclining chair, either sofa inside or porch chair.

I load up the couch with pillows so I am in that same position with my knees higher than my feet...very comfy...then...

i like sitting on a chair (actualy a soffa ) with my head being supported with a few pillows and raising my feet above the ground , sitting horizontally across the soffa

I usually lie all the way down covered in a nice feather comforter with my gvg and a metal box to put my hot pipe and lighter down safely. As someone else mentioned, I can never get more than one hit. I wish I had a sitter that could help, I can still take a hit, but cannot manage to hold the lighter over my gvg. The one time I was able to get two hits was one of the best trips ever... but yeah lying down.
