Just curious as to if anyone out there writes down their experiences in a journal of some sort. Over the years I've always thought about it but until recently did I pick one up and start my entries. I keep it by my side and write by candle light as soon as I'm back. I note the date, time and dosage followed by the experience. I really enjoy putting these wonderful experiences on paper.

Yeah, I have a lot of the early stuff written down. It comprises several chapters of a book I wrote, but did not publish called "Converted by a Molecule, or How I Knocked My Metaphysical Socks Off," Razz. It's very biographical, but has a lot of trip and some dream journaling in it for a period of time in particular that involved rather heavy use of all the traditional psychedelics (DMT, LSD, Mushrooms, etc.)
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Right on! love those titles! I don't go into detail when right about my LSD trips, just note the dosage, time, day and what I did. For instance wandered around the family golf course and in the undeveloped back nine's woods. I do go into detail when writing about these holes I fall into on Ketamine. I only use three substances. LSD, DMT, and Ketamine.

i have several hundred pages of dreams, synchronicities, events, thoughts, and trips that travel back 5 years or so. its an invaluable activity IMO and is hugely underrated. The process of turning your mind inside out into text can be a mind-altering experience in itself. Plus, i'm often utterly amazed at what we can forget 0.0

For dreams and psychedelic experiences that moved me significantly I keep record in whatever form I can. Sometimes I write it down in a book but mostly I write it on the computer and save it in my dropbox account in case my hard disk fails... I can write faster on the computer, so that's why I prefer it to pen and paper. But I agree to universecannon - writing these experiences down or generally writing as a way to introspect is really a great tool.

yea doing it on the computer can be great because of the speed, and other reasons..like when you want to do a quick cntrl + F search to find something specific

As someone who is into astral projection I keep a journal close at hand and I'm planning on writing my DMT experience down soon.

My last entry was when I was doing some energy work and tranced out to the point I was at the threshold of awake/sleep and got introduced to my female archetype called the 'anima'.

Soon after I got some C.G.Jung books and learned a lot from that night.

I was totally sober and way before DMT found me.

I wrote my dreams down the momemnt I woke up for nearly two months, but I don't enjoy writing first thing in the morning. It became more of a hassle. I agree, writing on the computer is a much faster way to get the experience in words. But I feel I will really appreciate this journal in 50 years. I draw images realted to the experience underneath each entry. If someone where to stummble upon the future completed versons 100+ years from now I think they would find it quite interesting. I also mapped out of Tek diagram.. It's a nice journal.

I've thought about doing so, but I don't honestly have the motivation Very happy

It would be quite interesting to see how experiences with various substances evolve over the years, with one's experiences and memories being much a part of set and setting, imho.

I also feel that writing my experiences may also help integration of what I experience.

Yeah. I like to write things down in the ending stages of the trip, or during if it's a very low dose.

It's interesting to go back and re-read what I felt needed to be written down later, very insightful.
This is the time to really find out who you are and enjoy every moment you have. Take advantage of it.
