Hello beautiful Nexians,

I've seen some wonderful 2D art from people here and wanted to share this link to open up the doors to 3D art.

http://www.shapeways.com/

Through the website, you can upload your model, pick a material, and sell your work.

Check out the mathematical models people are selling:

I'd love to see what some of the art folks from The Nexus come up with!

If you get something 3D printed, please post the results in this thread!

Peace, Love, & Hugs,

I looked into this a while ago because i wanted to pront some dmt inspired designs i would eventually create. Turns out, really fine structures can't be printed. But i still kinda want to print simpler stuff. Just need to get to it and decide wether or not i want to spend the money.

I could use it as some sort of social leverage for achieving sexual intimacy with easily impressionable women i guess. Shocked

Have a Roland MDX 20 3d Scanner and Printer. Have a good computer on hand if you decide to buy one high resolution scans/cuts can take a full 24 hours and that's for a small one 1X2 inches at a resolution of .002".

If your thinking of getting into this type of stuff feel free to ask me anything as I have done it for nearly a decade and Personally I think it's the coolest thing in the world. You can create anything you can imagine. This technology has made some outright mindblowing advances in the last 5 years and it is looking to rapidly advance.

3D modeling and fabrication isnt cheap I paid 5k for the printer and about 7k for the casting equipment but just screwing around making stuff and selling it on ebay has paid for the equipment already and then some.
