Hello all,

I'm kind off nervous typing this essay but here goes nothing.

I'm not really new to this forum but i have just today decided to register as a member. I really enjoy this forum because it is a unique mixture of experienced tripper and scientist who know what they're talking about.

I'm very interested in entheogens and mental expansion and awareness. Not just because i want some high or recreational fun but because i want to understand different culture through there ways of worship and i want to feel closer to our mother earth.

I want to become a full member so that i can dive deeper into this forum for research and spiritual purposes. I want to have a fuller understanding of the world around me and a more whole knowledge of myself.

I am currently a college student and i major in Wildlife biology and minor in wildlife rehabilitation and humanities. but i also want to make a major called Medical botany because it is one of my other passions in life because as you can see i have a profound love of animals humans and the rest of the elements that make the earth cycle/system work.

And so that is my introduction and i hope to start posting more, asking more questions, finding more answers, and getting closer to enlightenment.

Welcome to the Nexus. . Thank you for posting that introductory essay - I enjoyed reading it.

I'm sure you have already familiarized yourself with this place, but please don't hesitate to review the links in the upper right hand corner of the Forum pages (also in your welcome pm). I review them frequently and I've been a member for quite awhile now.

The path to full membership is basically just doing what you said you intend to do - post, ask questions, etc. Give the mods here a chance to get to know you and understand that you understand the rules here and I cannot promise enlightenment, but I'm sure promotion will follow. There's no equation for this - no minimal number of posts or time period. Just be yourself.

As a new member you are limited in the areas where you can post but just logon and you can view the entire contents of all the subfora.

It sounds like you have some interesting things to study there and probably some very cool fields you can work in once you are done.

I'm interested in what you believe is enlightenment, as you state that it is what you wish to get closer to. It is a term that I've seen used in many ways, and I find that the way we define or describe this tells alot about what our personal spiritual path is all about.

You mention being interested in entheogens etc. but you don't state your experience so far. Have you tried DMT or other psychedelics? Have you learned anything from them or benefited from your use so far?

ipuma is pleased you used the term "entheogen" especially during your introduction. it always chaps my ass when people say hallucinogens, not that people here do it.

I wold like to reply that i have not tried and entheogens (thats for you Ipuma, but i am currently researching extractions for dmt and i would like to try changa once i have everything down. It seams like it will be an insightful experience. and i am looking to go A/B as the method i want to use.
