So I just accidentally came across this board today as I was browsing around different websites and stuff, and I'm pretty darn glad I found this! I have always wanted to try DMT, in hopes that it will cause an ego death and open up my eyes to a brighter world. I have experience only with shrooms and MDMA, both of which I love and respect and never abuse or use often. I hope to learn a lot about the wonders of DMT here and among other things. I'm a huge fan of herbals and ethnobotanicals in general. I'm also a huge fan of the Joe Rogan Experience and he's definitely the guy who opened the door for me.

There aren't a lot of message boards I frequent often except a couple that are self-help related (anxiety support, exercise, etc.), but this definitely sparked my curiosity and I'm glad to see it's active! Looking forward to participating with you guys

I've had a number of ego deaths. I've got to say high dose DMT is pretty good at causing it to happen in me, also taking a decent dose of LSD then smoking DMT at the peak is almost a guarantee and makes my hand shake rather dramatically as I pick up the pipe . . . It can be quite disconcerting. Needless to say (I hope), there is no semblance of being in control in that state.

On the lighter side, once I am able to let go, to completely surrender when "I am dead," then frequently really good things result . . . I have had a number of full on mystical experiences in this state and they are quite something. I like to mention to folks that one time this happened it burned over 40 years of atheism out of me in just under 5 minutes flat, .

Thank you guys for the welcome, been browsing around the links and the Files section a bit here n there... I never tried LSD, in fear that it might perhaps change me in a bad way, whether temporarily or permanently... but reading these experiences about DMT has intrigued me so much! That sticky thread warning that it might not be for everyone has provided a lot of good info, and definitely realizing that I can wait to try it, that maybe I'll find the right time, it sounds completely mind-blowing and unforgettable.

Yes, words of wisdom here and in the Health & Safety section as well as a thread about NOT using DMT. I frequently tell folks to wait until the time is right, until the call is just about insane in it's level of intensity. I often joke that unless you are 98 years old and/or riddled with metastatic cancer there's a good chance you have plenty of time.

Though, sadly, the heyday of easy Mimosa Hostillis Root Bark (MHRB) procural appears to be over. Many folks are researching alternate options (including growing from seed) and ayahuasca plants are still legal in many areas.
