trying a mind altering substance drastically changed my life for the better. first it gave me a sense of being, or rather individualism. it really put the responsibility square in my lap.
after trying Stop, and i would have to admit that a lot of these substances would really do the trick, ganga for the first time my mind opened to a whole new world of ideas. suddenly my teacher didn't seem so intangibly smart and my mom didn't seem so "out to ruin my life". i quickly learned the human element, and came to find myself in it all.
psychedelics really levelled those walls on my playing field.
i have a forever burning desire for my life, giving up wouldn't be so easy.

Hello /lsdmthc.,

Welcome to the Nexus. Thanks for sharing an introductory essay with us.

Would you mind my asking your age? You sound like you came upon these revelations rather early in life. . . .

So, have you actually tried DMT yet? If so, what did you think? How did it compare to the other things you have tried?

Again, welcome to the Nexus.

Thank you for a cordial welcome Pandora Smile
i saw my friend on the nexus once and was amazed at the level of sincerity and encouragement shared by everyone. it reminded me of a time, in a small room, where my friends and i broke through the barriers of this world and excelled eponentially with our arts with the help from one another. during this time there was no "put downs" and only a high level of wanting the best for each of us to succeed.
the most amazing wonderful things happened.
my momma loves me so much and i love her too. she doesn't know the power of psychedelic medicine and i feel proud to bring that into my home. i will say my mom is the yeller type, right off the bat she'll tell me what i've done wrong and not in a very nice way. i'm so excited given the chance to show her my sincerity in a calm manner. she knows im a good kid, and i am, and one day i won't live under her roof anymore.
she will be proud.

Hi /lsdmthc.,

welcome to the nexus. I'm not sure I understood you correctly, but if you are intending talking to your mom about your use of psychedelics, I advise you to be very careful in how you express yourself.
Personally I consider my own parents very inteligent and open minded but I have never been able to talk to them about my interest in psychedelics without falling on prejudice, worry and horror. I have given up this task because like with so many, for them the only responsible use is not to use at all.

What I'm trying to point out is that not everyone will understand how you can benefit from these substances. Be careful with your wording as to not create worry or misunderstandings.

THat being said, good luck with everything and happy traveling.

Well.. Ido take one drug now - for fun - and, maybe you've heard of it, it's a new thing, I don't know if you have or not. It's a new thing, it makes you small. [ indicates size with fingers ] About this big. And, you know, I'll be home, sitting with my friends, and, uh.. we'll be sitting around, and somebody will say, "Heeeyyy.. let's get small!" So, you know, we get small, and uh.. the only bad thing is if some tall people come over. You're walking around going, "Ah hahaha..!" Now, I know I shouldn't get small when I'm driving.. but I was driving around the other day, and Isaid, "What the heck?" You know? So I'm driving like.. [ extends arms high in the air like he's reaching up to a giant steering wheel ] And, uh.. acop pulls me over. And he makes me get out, he looks at me and he says, "Heyyy.. are you small"? I said, "No-o-o! I'm not!" He said, "Well, I'm gonna have to measure you." They have this little test they give you - they give you aballoon.. and if you can get inside of it, they know you're small. Now, I've already talked it over with the cast -they've been working all week, it's a tough thing to do, come out here live. Immediately after the show, we're all gonnago out.. and get really small!

it sounds like you have the right attitude, /lsdmthc. good luck - though it sounds like you've learned luck has nothing to do with it.

Thank you all for the support!
enoon i totally understand your point, talking to your parents about drugs may lead to worry. however i do believe the talks i've had with my mom in the past about my drug use has strengthened our relationship and gave me an example of responsible drug use. i'm thankful for all of the supportive relationships in my life and i'm happy to have someone i'm not afraid to share my feelings with.
i believe if it wasn't for people like my mom and my fellow nexians i would have doppled into a world of regret and anguish.
mucho love and a lot of respect,
lsdmthc

Hi /lsdmthc.

Sorry no one responded to you in chat earlier. I was about to but you quit :/ (I have a two year old that pulls me away and was on the phone so didn't get on it as quick as I wanted too).

As to your question...

If you're talking about mental or physical trouble have a trip sitter. Especially with any substance you haven't taken before or any high doses of anything (big doses of LSD or Mushrooms for instance). Also make sure to do extensive research on any new substance before you personally take it. Not everyone reacts to things the same way and even if you have a friend telling you it's the most amazing thing ever you could react differently to it. This goes double for RCs.

It sounds like you've talked things over with your Mom which is good. For legal trouble there's not much you can do. If you do run into legal trouble, remember, nothing you say to a cop can help you. Get a lawyer before you say anything. There's a great legal thread you can check out.

Also check out the FAQ and wiki if you haven't yet. Lots of good stuff on set and setting, integration, etc.
