Psychedelic truffles? They've been around for about a couple years since the mushroom ban in amsterdam in 2008. Since the mushroom itself is illegal but other parts such as the spores and roots (or w.e you call roots on a mushroom) are completely legal, many growers seem to have found a good alternative. From my understanding of it the substrates are kept at sub-par conditions for mushroom growth so instead of sprouting above ground the mushroom forms a compact sponge under the ground in order to keep the fungus alive until the proper conditions are meant above ground at which point it can sprout. The truffle growers dig out the psilocybin containing sponges after theyve matured and then wash and package them for the head shops. My question is if anyone has any experience with this? I've been looking at a couple distributors and all seem to have little if no shipping restrictions which is good for where Im at.

Heres a video I found as well: http://youtu.be/Y8vaRVwF0xA
Using recreational drugs, including psychedelics, does not give you character points, it's not a means of fighting the system, it doesnt make you a shaman, and unless you actually get out and see the world - it wont give you any deeper insights into it. Can psychedelics bring about these qualities in a person? Yes, But they need fertile ground. What does this mean? Never stop filling youre head and never stop fighting. Otherwise youre just another wasted mystic sitting on your couch getting high.

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Hi Sitra Ahra,

if you use the Search tool for "truffles" or "sclerotia" you will easily find a bunch of threads about them.

Thanks. The only reason I asked here is because I was under the impression that they werent a well known substance outside amsterdam and I value the feedback on here. I didnt need any actual info other then maybe an experience report or something. As I posted above, I've found what seems to be a pretty reliable/cheap source if I feel so enticed. I also thought Id mention them hear since like I said, I thought they were relatively unknown considering Im pretty well versed on psychedelics including multiple obscure RCs. I just figured I would share (what I thought was a find) with the community here and those in the same boat as I was previously could then gain some insight and awareness on the substance while those with actual experience could chime in as well. But I'll just google it since a majority of the online drug community is already aware of it.

I must have missed the memo....

please dont mistake any of that for sarcasm either

They've been around for awhile, not as popular elsewhere as in the netherlands but definitely old news to mushroom cultivators everywhere. If you want to look them up, besides "Magic Truffles", "Tampanensis" and "Sclerotia", they're also called "Philosopher's Stones." Also AFAIK, they don't grow that way because of lack of nutes or anything like that, it's just a different type of mushroom that naturally forms truffles. IIRC, all the different cultivated types around today came from a single specimen found near tampa, florida (which is why they're called Tampanensis).
No direction but to follow what you know,
No direction but a faith in her decision,
No direction but to never fight her flow,
No direction but to trust the final destination.

Is the sclerotia form legal to possess in the U.S (like spores, for microscopy only of course)?

Edit: Never mind, Google says it seems not. Sad
Images of broken light,
Which dance before me like a million eyes,
They call me on and on...
