alright, i know there is no natural legal cannabis substitute. remedios would smoke weed, but where he lives its impossible to find, and what is there is commonly mixed with synthetics. thats not something i want to consume. im trying to make a blend that gets remedios slightly euphoric, and sedated. ive tried wild dagga, passion flower, skullcap, damiana, wild lettuce, motherwort, and probably a few i cant remember. none of these work for me. so heres what im thinking of,

1 part wormwood (makes me dream like crazy, and clears my head)
1/2 part caapi vine (i dont have access to leaf)
1 part california poppy extract (ethanol soak, then evaporated on herbs)
2 part blue lotus (never tried, does it work?)
1 part sinicuichi (never tried, does it work?)
1 part kanna (never tried, but i hear its nice)

ill probably mix this with some really nice tasting herbs or oils. but do you think this will cause a sedative euphoric effect? i dont know about lobelia but maybe that. i keep away from tobacco or any addictive things.

I would also like to try blue lotus. What's it supposed to do?

Sounds like you'll have a great nights sleep anyway Big grin

It's a mild sedative.

Big fan of blue lotus tea, have only smoked blue lotus changa a few times and I wasn't down for that sedation during and after tripping on DMT.

But, that tea helps me relax before bed and is calming without inebriating your mind.

You should still be able to read, do engaged mental work quite well.

Smoking blend looks nice. Addictive because of the opiates in the poppy though...
In the province of the mind what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experimentally and experientially. When so found these limits turn out to be further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind there are no limits. However, in the province of the body there are definite limits not to be transcended.-J.C. Lilly

(unprocessed)poppy's addiction is overrated imo, iirc it was commonly use for something like 300 years before people realized it's addictive.

especially since its a california poppy which i believe have lower concentrations than papaver somniferum, and in fact is even a different genus altogether.

though it would be mildly active, i would say with some degree of confidence that it is safe for the average person.

as i remember, california poppy is not even a papaver. it contains little or no morphine, but a good amount of thebain. its psychoactive effects (if any) are from a different alkaloid with benzo like effects. this is the information i have gathered, chances are it is not correct
