i already posted this in the Influencing Weather thread, but I thought it was significant enough for its own. This painting was done in 2010. I would say its pretty damn trippy considering this kind of storm is completely unprecidented.

That's not the first Grey premonition... If you look at the painting Gaia, there are two planes flying near the Twin Towers, and a pair of electric lines crossing the buildings pretty much exactly where the planes hit:

I think if myself as a rational dude, but these are very striking synchronicities. I think that art can tap into some very deep places.

This is absolutely intriguing... Receiving information from the collective unconscious is indeed a powerful tool of perception.

thanks so much for this! When i was at cosm on lsd a few years ago i saw this painting and had a very spiritual experience just staring into it for 10 minutes or so, and i've been trying to find out the name of it ever since!

interesting synchronicity to

Grey recently was on the rogan podcast and he talked about his gaian/911 painting synchronicity..but even more fascinating was all of the other music/art synchronicities he mentioned that connected with that date. it was mind blowing to look up the pictures/info he was talking about. for example a CD was to be released on september 12th that actually had the towers in it, and they were exploding near the top. it looked just like the actual images of the day 0_o

also there was a guy who had an art studio on some floor of the WTC that got hit by the plane and killed him..it was thought that all of his art was lost that day, but they later found a self-sculpture he did down in some museum in carolina or something..the sculpture was of himself being impaled by a bunch of planes Surprised the picture was really wild. but yea theres a lot more like that which are mentioned in that podcast

^ damn that is nuts man! so what does it mean? you could say the artists are tapping into the collective subconcious not resticted by time, you could say powerful events have a ripple effect that goes backward and forward in time.
We could also speculate that our thoughts are actually real energy that go out into the universe and do real things, to believe is to create.

Who knows. This sort of thing is more common than people generally think though. Just two nights ago i had dreams which completely reflected the day i was about to have upon waking up

personally i'd place my bets on us all having a dormant ability to tap into non-local information. i think the imagination itself might be non-local..the imaginatrix, if you will Big grin

Check out the Global Consciousness Project. It uses random number generators placed all over the world to sort of monitor the "imaginatrix", if you'd like to call it that. In science it's called the "noosphere". It seems that when major events happen that effect a large number of people in the vicinity of the number generators, the numbers go from being completely random, to being measurably more organized. And in some cases (like 9/11), this actually starts to happen BEFORE the event.

Wikipedia wrote:
The GCP's methodology is based on the hypothesis that events which elicit widespread emotion or draw the simultaneous attention of large numbers of people may affect the output of hardware random number generators in a statistically significant way. The GCP maintains a network of hardware random number generators which are interfaced to computers at 70 locations around the world ... The GCP claims that, as of late 2009, the cumulative result of more than 300 registered events significantly supports their hypothesis.

I remember being shocked with his Gaia work.

This is now the second time.

Kind of hard not to belief there is something more than chance at play here...

If you start looking for something, you will find it. It's why in science double blind studies and peer reviews are critical. Confirmation Bias is extremely hard and near impossible to separate yourself from. Given such, my opinions are below Smile

Looking at the Gaia work, in my opinion it's a pretty far stretch to say he was predicting anything here. I'm sure if you had a collection of all the pre 9/11 artwork we could find hundreds of actual pictures with the towers and real planes in them, tons of random artworks with similar situations, possibly even jokes of something hitting the towers, these aren't predictions, just merely coincidences.

Going by the weather picture it would be pretty significantly underneath the 'prediction'. As well the idea of a hurricane up in the north east isn't exactly unheard of. Irene was 2011. Picture from Irene

Alex grey has amazing artwork, and he has incredible talent in his abilities. But I think this is looking for far too literal of a meaning in something that has a more philosophical punchline.
