Hey all new member and first post basically I'm looking for a good source of m.a.o-b inhibition so to get the ball rolling I hear Chinese c's c and south American c's c both contain m.a.o - b's any others and any ideas of dosing I heard up to 4 gram's lol maybey an extract or summing oh well let's see what other members have to say

cats claw is great stuff. i drink it almost daily..its very good for you. But as far as its MAOI content goes, i don't think its potent enough to activate dmt, or even illicit any heavy duty affects on its own- except perhaps in mega amounts. i know some here have tried many times to get enough in the system to activate dmt, but to no avail

Ok no drama's I'm not actually looking at it to activate the dmt I'm looking at it for dopamine, just trying to get a better breakthrough.
Now I have heard of cats claw being used in aya but never heard a proper explination as to why , though I did hear it was used to boost the immune system as to provide the patient with spiritual and phisical healing .
But yeah maybe hordenine for the m.a.o - b effect and can it be vaporized like the m.a.o.i's found in passionflower, blue lotus and Syrian rue? .

I'm not physician by any means but I'd be careful with inhibiting both MAO-A and MAO-B simultaneously. No idea of it's dangerous to inhibit them at the same time, please be cautious.

Cheers for the heads up though I have mixed hordenine with passion flower + blue lotus allong with some r.c's that can't be mentioned. Was fine no problems, I research everything I decide to try.. I have heard of old aya brews with cats claw am verry interested in trying this as it will help maintain dopamine levels

I thought DMT was metabolised by MAO-A, not MAO-B, if that is the case, then inhibiting MAO-B would be pretty pointless.

Metabolization and oxidization are two separate processes. I think the gut contains considerably more MAO-A than B, so even if you did inhibit B, then the A would still metabolize the DMT, rendering it inactive. If you inhibited both, I'm sure that's a different story, but since inhibiting A does the job perfectly, what would be the point of inhibiting both?

Incidentaly, oxidized DMT (DMT-n-oxide) is very much active.

I think you might find dmt is metabolized via N - oxidization and N - dimethylation by both m.a.o.i's, you know Mono Amine Oxidize Inhibitors its in the name
