Hello to everyone!!
[Edit] Here I am totally bored with this noxious existence, I long to push beyond my known boundaries and set sail, exploring worlds beyond…

In the most part I seek answers, to gain knowledge and understanding (that which cannot be explained), to redefine who I am and the way in which I view this world and maybe even make a little more sense of it all?
Is it possible to gain understanding?? It seems to be working the other way for me!

Beyond that there is a sense of adventure that drives me..
I know there is so much more out there, that many of us are trapped in some state of “paradigm paralysis” and like many of us I am waking up and asking questions, questioning everything, everything I have known and believed, attempting to undo a lifetime of programming and break free.

To me DMT is a “Sacred Doorway”, one that I take very seriously and treat with full respect; maybe it is a conversation with God? (would experienced travellers agree with this?)

Anyway I am here to learn what I can from the experiences of others, share mine as they happen and maybe even make some connections with fellow travellers?

Hello SoulATP,

Welcome to the Nexus. I suspect the feelings you describe here are felt by many of us here to one degree or another.

I was unclear though - have you actually tried DMT yet? Smoked or oral? How was it? How about other psychedelics?

Are you in the best space to be taking deep psychedelic journeys? You open talking about feeling like a snake bitten animal. . . Are you seeking as well as knowledge and understanding?

Regardless, no guarantees, and the hard work is up to you - I always say the entheogens are just catalysts.

Check out all the subfora here and the links in the upper right hand corner of your forum page. You should find that gives you more than a good start on your adventures and journey here.

Again welcome to the Nexus.

"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Hi Pandora, thanks for your welcome...

That was possibly a bad choice of words on my part using the analogy of an animal recovering from a snake bite?
Maybe what I could have said was that like many of us I am tired and fatigued from my journey.

I have always found it very hard being here on this earth, or not wanting to be here and I'm sure I am not alone.

Yes I have tried DMT once, smoked thru pipe, described in an earlier post, an extremely intense and beautiful experience, I am not sure when my next one will be but I am looking forward to it.Thumbs up

Other psychedelics.. oh yes in my youthShocked , I am more settled these days and although I am open to some other psychedelics my reasons for taking them would be very different than before.

I haven't yet spent a lot of time here looking around but hope to soon do so as I know there is a wealth of information and experience available!

"I am what I am. In having faith in the beauty within me I develop trust. In softness I have strength. In silence I walk with the gods. In peace I understand myself and the world. In conflict I walk away. In detachment I am free. In respecting all living things I respect myself. In dedication I honour the courage within me.
In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things. In love I unconditionally accept the evolution of others. In freedom I have power.
In my individuality I express the God-Force within me. In service I give of what I have become.

Thanks WarriorSage.. the pic is probably pretty appropriate as I'm sure you can get faced with some pretty scary s**t at times?

The fear I experienced was more at the beginning of my experience.. the sheer speed and force of everything that was happening.
Like a balloon that is just about to burst under pressure.. I felt as though my entire being was at breaking point, it was both overwhelming and unbearable with the added realization that I had to endure this.

So my fear was not related to beings or entities probably just lack of experience?

Hopefully I will be a little more prepared next time?
