Psychedelics definitely increase my appreciation and allow me to see a bit more "behind the scenes" of artistic expression. I can't say I always gain a full understanding of the pieces, but I enjoy the perspective nonetheless. Many of Alex Grey's pieces I have viewed certainly portray the psychedelic experience from my eyes. The piece with the
tunnel of eyes is one I have experienced before on a DMT breakthrough.
I have visited a few museums on mild doses of sclerotia and I was certainly very engaged in the experience. Learned quite a lot and had a great time.
Not sure of any hard facts on this issue, but for me psychedelics certainly increase my appreciation of the arts and the artists behind it all.
I've also began drawing/doodling again recently and have opened up Photoshop/Illustrator an increasing number of times in the last couple of months. And with all of the 3D work being thrown around over in the Front Page Collaboration I became overwhelmed with the temptation and picked up 3DS Max. The visions themselves that are induced/produced by psychedelics are still far beyond my artistic abilities, but it is great fun regardless.
The inner soul is full of joy. Reveal my secrets and sew me whole. With each day, "I" heeds your call.
You may not care the slightest and may not be the brightest, but from here "I" sees you're mighty for you created it all.
And the jumbling sea rose above the wall.
Through this chaos comes the order you enthrall.
