before you read this, keep in mind that marijuana is the only psychodelic i've ever tried. that's my preference. i don't believe in the opiates (or opium), heroine, all the other nasty junk.


Lately i've had very eye-opening and in depth thoughts when high, but it seems like i can't reach full potential. Almost like i want to open my eyes completely, but i've only managed to open them half-way, if you will. I think these thoughts are due to the heavy stress i've put on myself lately. i'm just 19, about to start college and my thirst for knowledge is becoming stronger everyday but i'm overwhelming myself with that thought of failure. If your older than me, you know what i'm talking about right? Well, the other night i was smoking and my friend informed me about this amazing thing called "DMT". So, i did some research, watched some documentaries on it and I was and still am ABSOLUTELY amazed at the experiences these individuals had. The visions and images and places these people went is so..i dont even know..euphoric? i could sit here and type all night on this and whether i should try it or not, but thats the reason why i came to this site, to truly go in depth with the people that have tried it and listen to your opinions! please explain as much as you can.

I was in your shoes a short while ago, a little older and a little more experience but still, in similar shoes.. the thing I realised about DMT is nothing can prepare you for it, maybe try some LSD or Shrooms, or even MDMA, all of these trigger hallucinogenic effects, very similar but nowhere near as intense as DMT. If you've got a calling for it, from my point of view it wants to find you, not the other way around.

I would suggest not trying to find it, it'll eventually find it's way to you at the right moment, at the right time, in the right place.

I would also say if and when that moment arrives, make sure you're doing it with someone who has been through it before, and make sure that someone is a person you trust implicitly, that they aren't going to give you a bad time or try to freak you out or some crap.

I would go the other way from Mystic0, if you've found the Nexus then I think that's sign enough. Things don't just happen on their own. Learn the teks, buy the materials and extract some spice.

Just be careful, DMT is a very potent drug. Use it to learn about yourself. Don't just do it for fun, although you'll have allot of fun with it.

Think about this analogy. If cannabis was like say, cruising down the road on a skateboard then DMT would be strapping a jet engine on your back and aiming for the sun.

Don't buy it from anyone.

Extract it yourself for peace of mind.

Don't expect the party drug thing. DMT will fold reality onto itself and will pierce the veil of every paradigm you was born into. BE PREPARED!

Take into consideration your own mental state of being. Any anxiety or depression or whatever will be unwise with DMT.

To the OP, I feel your pain and know what you mean. I have been trying to get there naturally and with substance for almost 20 years. (I am 38 years old). I tried almost everything and have done almost everything except DMT which I started doing almost 2 years ago I think was my first DMT experience. Let me tell you my first experience I didn't break through but I had tears in my eyes... 2nd time I did breakthrough and into the whole new hyper-reality, out of body type, meeting entities... That utterly wrecked my world for the better. For me it was exactly what I needed. Now I at least know I have had experiences that are more real that this waking objective reality. (I am still trying to get there naturally too though!)

I am not trying to be religious in fact I am more agnostic with a touch of Buddhism, I just love this quote because it touches on many DMT things for me personally at-least. (well except reigning over the entirety but when ones meets the godhead/universal fractal consciousness and realizes your part of it one can't help to be disturbed by everything I was taught spiritual was bullshit and everything that may be true is astounding! heh =)

Although DMT is fundamentally in the same spectrum as cannabis, the level of its effects is so many orders of magnitude beyond what you are used to that it almost isn't worth comparing the two. Keep reading and doing your research; you'll know if the calling becomes strong enough.

high doses of mushrooms can definatly compare..I find people that claim that they cant sometimes and I think they have just never had a high dose of mushrooms..or have only worked with cubensis..try other species.

Though vaping a full hit of DMT and being blasted into hyperspace within seconds is about the most intense thing there is..other than maybe 5meo and salvinorin. You wont get that speed with oral psilocin or DMT..though oral doses have a different kind of intensity that can be even more difficult to manage.

Imagine being pure energy, roaring out from every cell in your body until they explode into light and dissapear into another dimension and you can imagine(maybe not?) what DMT can be like.
