my first time smoking spice was out of a three foot bong sitting on the corner of a friends bed, i got two huge hits in and put the bong aside and in the few seconds it took to come up i felt numb and neon flashing green and red outlined fractals covered the walls in front of me, a black wall hit me and i was flung into this black space and i could see myself in fetal position surrounded by dark space, the mood switched and i just sat up and looked down at my hands and they were so clear but everything beyond them was slime green lit and the bed i was sitting on was now piles of flesh and confusing
it felt exactly like a dream, i had this tweaked slightly drunken mindset that i always notice in my more lucid dreams and i saw myself as a junkie and i loathed myself, i wanted out cuz it was such an overwhelming feeling of losing myself in hyperspace
i laid back down and my entire body was covered in weight i just wanted to keep still and think and every thought i had was so profound like it was an object you could use and i laid there til the closed eye visuals ended
it was a very positive experience

what was your first time like

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Sounds intense! The slime green and the fleshy bed... The spice sure knows how to deal out the surprises to keep us on our toes. That's also a pretty heavy emotional load to take in on a first try. Those profound thoughts... It's really amazing how a few minutes in a psychedelic state can allow us to connect so many dots so quickly, and bring it all together into concrete understandings. If only we could record that stuff!

My first time was at our neighbor's place; we lived in a building of raw loft spaces for artists, and ended up with this really cool neighbor who had a parallel interest in psychedelics. By that point I had quite a bit of experience with acid and shrooms, so I was pretty psyched when he came upon some DMT. We didn't have a microgram scale, but I'm guessing in retrospect (this was 18 years ago) that it was about 25-30mg.

My first experience was almost entirely visual. I was in a cathedral space, structured essentially like a classic gothic cathedral but made out of vibrantly colored shifting geometric tiles. Instead of walking along the floor, I was coasting along the space at the highest point in the vaulted ceiling, cruising along the length of the space. It felt like I was about 200' up. I was looking down along the length of the columns which held up the ceiling, and their surfaces were decked out in geometric patterns of the brightest colors: yellow, purple, orange, green. The patterns were contained within a square tiling layout, and every half second or so the pattern would shift into a different one, with their geometric components sliding and morphing and rearranging themselves from one pattern into the next. The floor was intricately patterned as well, with the patterns appearing to contain a high content of information and meaning.

On the floor there were these groups of little bicycle guys wearing helmets and riding back and forth in predictable ways, behaving in a very clockwork manner. Like most entities I've encountered since, they were like windup toys, simple, appearing to be animated outgrowths of the scenery... Windup toys, without any apparent agency of their own.

Then I came down, the peak faded and the remaining effects wore off quickly. What I got from the experience was that the cathedral was a visual representation of the workings of my mind at that moment. It felt like the opening page of a fantastically deep puzzle.

I couldn't help noticing that your avatar was an image from Doug Hofstadter's book I Am A Strange Loop... Have you read that?

This was about 3 years ago, my friend informed me that she had some dmt for me. So I got my other buddy to come pick me up and meet with the dmt. We took it back to my buddy's house and tried the first couple tokes in his basement on the couch. Had some music on and the lights. Those first couple tokes for me was like an acid trip. I could feel the music, seeing patterns in the ceiling/walls, and laughing hard feeling great. We soon decided to try the rest of it outside.

We loaded up the rest of it and I went first, taking a big hit (from a very nice 3' bong) ontop of some ganja. I quickly moved from where i hit the bong to some nice recliner chairs in the back yard, holding my hit in. And I fell back into the chair, felt attached to it and closed my eyes...Saw a beautiful tunnel of rainbow colors moving in the most interesting way. I could see SOMETHING between or embedded in the colors, i could tell there was a face, but I could not focus on it and get near. I was awe struck by the color show, and after i opened my eyes...well i compared it to a veryyy heavy acid trip (my only experience being with acid up till then), I saw endless multicolored snakes covering the ground, and after watching the fence shrink and grow for a little I was able to start talking Smile

my first trip wasn't a breakthrough but was a memorable intro to dmt

it was on the fourth of july 2009. it just happened to work out that as our first spice extraction was drying we were watching a professional fireworks show going on down the street from my front porch. It was a fitting celebratory moment :]

later that night i took the first few tokes while sitting cross legged in a very comfortable chair on the patio with a close friend... i was using a mini-zong with a bed of white sage. it was a fairly harsh smoke but i didn't have anything else to use as a bed for the dmt at the time. The first hit i just tested the waters. typical low dose affects- very blissful

i felt completely relaxed and centered, so then i got a decent pull on it and held it in, eyes closed. i completely let go and felt the sensory confines of my body and mind extending out into the external world. i could feel the car pulling in next door like it was an extension of my limbs simply moving a bit, and i felt as though my consciousness was smeared out over about a 300ft radius, and i "was" all of this- the plants, houses, my friend, everything. i felt one with everything of a literal level that is common with psychedelics, but uncommon with such a low dose of dmt IME. then the focus sort of condensed into an area in the middle of all this, about 50ft in the air above my house, and the chrysanthemum started forming there. i stayed in this state for a moment and then began coming down, feeling just absolutely amazed

it was very mild as far as the intensity of the dmt experience goes..but was really unlike any trip i've had since

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"
