Thanks all! But yeah like Guyomech said there was alot of wasted work in that.. and I feel kinda bad about it.. but I guess these are the kind of things that you learn from, so with future projects you know better, and things will hopefully go more smoothly.

You'll need to walk me through your work flow. I gotta get in on some if this animation bidness.

It's just a bump-mapped texture, so the animation was done by offsetting the texture along the path for every frame.

And speaking of tablets, I think I need to put this Wacom tablet on my christmas list too.. the mouse just ain't no pen..

So, what program did you use? I haven't actually done any mapping at all yet. I'm a bit behind the curve.

Get those tablets, fellows. Mine has been a total godsend. It's sped up my work rate substantially.

Great stuff Blotto, thanks for posting it here! The fractal pinup is especially cool. I'd encourage you to post some of the images in this thread, not just links, since they're more likely to be seen and appreciated that way.

Fantastic... Let's see more!

You know how I found the DMT-Nexus in the first place? I was googling "DMT patterns" and found one of your images which was posted here. So... Thanks Sebastian!

I think it is not "just about as cool as it can possibly be", as Uncle Knucles noted... It is... I really got shivers when I saw it for the first time. Very "natural" actually. As if I saw it somewhere already...

Wow, very similar to how I discovered it. DMT chose me through art... that's damn cool.
