Hello all. I’ve been a lurker here for a little bit, monitoring a lot of threads quite closely and generally getting my feel for the community. I’ve recently completed my first home extraction of mescaline and I figure now is as good a time as any to introduce myself to the community.

I have experimented with a wide range of psychedelics which I would feel sort of foolish listing here, but please feel free to PM me or ask in the thread which if you are curious about this. I think psychedelics for me are primarily a method of stimulating an unyielding curiosity. There is much to know in this world, but even more interesting than the facts are the even larger domain of questions. Psychedelics constantly open my eyes to new questions and new viewpoints and I find them to add an enriching aspect to my life. I have never tried dissociatives, opiates, benzos, etcetera, although I think that given the right setting I would, simply because they would offer yet another perspective to add to my ever-growing compendium of questions.

With regards to DMT, I have never encountered the molecule and have not yet begun the work necessary to possess it. I have at many points considered it, but I believe that I will need my fullest energies to devote toward the preparation and integration of the experience, and I cannot make that full devotion with all of the other commitments I have in my life at this point. That being said, I cannot imagine living my entire life without at some point going through with the DMT experience, and I believe I will be at the proper point in my life for this experience within the next year.

I am also quite interested in the sustainable phalaris teks that are receiving increased attention in the wake of the recent supplier issues. New frontiers and unexplored chemical/biological processes ripe for experimentation are exactly the sorts of things that excite me and I hope that my foray into the world of extraction will be able to coincide with contribution toward the refinement of the techniques available for using these wonderful plants.

About my life— I have long had an interest in chemistry and the sciences, and I am currently studying chemical engineering with the tentative intent to go on to get a Pharm D and work in neuropharm. As an undergraduate, these plans are obviously subject to fluctuation. I love both listening to and playing music and I have found many common bonds with many of the electronic (FlyLo’s new album!!!) music that other members of this board seem to enjoy. I find that much of the creative work that this board both produces and recommends is some of the most enjoyable and relatable material I have found among any community on the internet.

It is excellent to have found a community that shares many common goals and passions while managing to retain a stunningly vibrant and varied group of personalities, and I’m looking forward to becoming a part of this whole!

Hello Precog,

Welcome to the Nexus. I'm so glad you quit lurking and decided to sign up. Thanks for taking the time to write a well thought out and well edited introduction essay.

I presume you know about the links in the right hand corner, as you said you had lurked for awhile and had completed a mescaline extraction. How did that go? Have you tried the product yet?

A very warm welcome to the Nexus Precog!

I performed 69ron's d-limo extraction essentially to a T. Everything went without a hitch, especially when taking into consideration my lack of some important equipment (had to freeze to perform phase separation due to lack of a sep. funnel & had to squeeze out the limo by hand). I had an overall yield of %1.35 impure alkaloid acetates from Peruvian Torch.

I had a test run this weekend with 75mgs accompanying a day of hiking. The onset was slow but the chemical lent a sharpness of vision and a rich color spectrum to my experience. I am very much looking forward to taking the next steps with the compound and I am extremely grateful to 69ron and the others who have refined that tek to its current state of near-perfection!
