This weekend at the conference of psychedelic research in Amsterdam I followed The lecture were this site was promoted. I loved the lecture and became more interested in the dmt nexus site. Well A Little bit about myself then. I'm Sander Bos, an art student in Groningen (the Netherlands)and am very interested in mapping out the psychedelic experience. Every time I ask somebody about a trip they often would respond like: “I have no words for it” or “I don't know were the hell to begin.” Our language does not suffice in sharing these experiences. I Think that if we could make these sacred realms somehow visible, we can really show people what we are talking about and maybe gain new insights. They also could be used as navigation tools to travel deeper into these hyper-spacial dimensions. This Idea began when I stumbled upon the mushroom which dramatically changed my art. I began Exploring these visionary realms, observing and trying to get out as much visual information as I could. I'm still very confused why there is not a lot of reference about this in artworks through the ages (Except from shamanic art and cave paintings). I think it would be for the artist to show these hidden worlds that go beyond ordinary perception. Unfortunately the artworld of today seems completely alienated from these altered states and many don't see the richness of many visionary artists and stigmatize their works as kitsch or funny hippie paintings. Of course this has to do with our somewhat short sighted materialistic society. Its almost like: “It doesn't matter if an artwork is good or not. If its worth money or the story is somewhat interesting its good art.”. My opinion is that art should be about an experience that changes your way you look at things. Or as Peter Gric says in an interview: ”Its not about words but rather about silent visions”. ....

Welcome to the nexus! I'd be very interested in seeing some of your art if you're ever willing to post some screenies Hope you have as much fun as I've had since finding this place. It's sanctuary for most of us it seems. One can drive himself to madness in the obsessing goal of reason, without the knowledge of love and laughter.

Welcome! It's great to see that there is a follow up on the lecture by the means of people signing up to the DMT-Nexus. Currently many art projects are under way and you might want to take a peak at them. The main subforum for that is: Music/Art/LiteratureSome nice art threads: * Nexus frontpage graphic collaboration project * Art Bin (art made by nexus members) * [WANTED] New forum BannerPlease feel free to collaborate in any of these! Kind regards, The Traveler

Hello Infectednl, Welcome to the Nexus. I just love visionary art and loved your introduction. As you can see, there are a lot of talented visionary artists here at the Nexus. I would love to see some of your work if you would care to share . . . Check the links The Traveler showed you and the other subfora here - Nexus is a big place. There's valuable links in the upper right hand corner of the forum pages - things like wiki, FAQ & Health & Safety. Anything you'd like to share, I'm sure we'd all feel privledged to see/share. . . but if not I still offer you a very warm welcome to the Nexus! "But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."-Rick Doblin, Ph.D. MAPS President, MAPS Bulletin Vol. XX, No. 1, pg. 2Hyperspace LOVES YOU

Nice stuff dmkt6256, I'm really facinated by the symbols as well. They look really familiar! I would often see these glowing codes interweaved in geometrical architecture in some trips. If we could only read them....
