It won't let me watch it but the still looks like a fan blowing on a Pyrex baking dish full of solvent inside a house. And there seems to be a wall right there and a power strip. Those fumes are flammable. Doesn't look very safe.

within 30 seconds of starting the video, i saw "150g mhrb" and "8 liters naptha"... later, it said that it's okay if a little basified solution made it into your evap dish... so the answer is no, this tek is not valid... it's pretty much a p.o.s...

It has been stewing around in this skull o mine to make an extraction video(s) for precisely this purpose.

People who find the written teks overwhelming and complicated (as i did when i first came here, though it really does get simpler after the first time you read all the way through it i promise) tend to skip over valuable information. If one were to make essentially video versions of the written teks (with some text for a semi-brief explanation of what you are doing and why), it may even prompt people to do more research after seeing the video and seeing how simple everything is. just something to give a basic understanding that will allow people to be more able and more willing to research in depth. what do you guys think?

I'm kinda conflicted here. I don't in anyway challenge the rules if the nexus but I can relate to the difference between learning through reading and learning by watching. Extracting DMT is not hard and simply just doing it and you should be able to learn what mistakes your making. And also posting you results and asking for help is common practice here. It really does work fine the way were already doing it.

If there was some way that a video could be made that could only be viewed if you were a member and could not be linked outside of the nexus would be the ONLY safe way to go about having video teks. They could be made properly by members who show only safe and correct practice. It would serve to make it easier but I'm not sure if that would be a good thing or not. If your incapable of following one of the many teks in written form that are available here then maybe you shouldn't be attempting to extract. But like I said I'm conflicted cause I am a visual learner as well as a hands on learner. But the question is do we want to make it easier and how would we do so without the videos being available to anyone outside the nexus. I dunno. Prolly not a good idea.

YouTube and various university sites have many videos of A/B extractions, recrystallizations, etc.

I know, but anyone that hasn't read a written Tek a million times (like me) isn't going to know what's safe or not, what's proper and what's not so on. If we had our own videos made by tried and true people on a server that can only be accessed by members, all I'm sayin. Just not sure if we should make something like that available. Why don't we just start doing the extractions and sending them DMT, we could smoke it for them too!

it looks like alot of people watched it. 40406 people infact. Im sick of seeing sites like youtube, amazon and other similar ones advertising how to make dmt.

If you search for dmt these sites will have advertising for extraction materials like red devil lye (always red devil!) and turkey basters and lighter fluid.

Personally, I disagree.

I think between reviewing a tek (especially one with pics) multiple times (not quite a million ) and looking at the published chem technique vids that Shaolin mentioned, you can piece together a pretty much all-encompassing view of things...even if you're a visual learner. Obviously that's just my opinion, but I fail to see why you would need a video specifically showing how to extract DMT when it follows the same lines as the A/B educational chemistry technique videos (and you can compare it with DMT teks/read along as you watch the video).

I know what you're saying anrchy. I'm beginning the BLAB-FASI tek and while it has nice pics and is well written, I'm still very much a visual learner and it took me a good number of reads to feel it was comfortably visualized.

I recreated the tek in Adobe Illustrator so I could follow each step and visualize it all. It took a few hours to recreate it and I summarized the text as I plan to still follow the written tek for extraction. So far it has worked wonderfully. It dialed the steps into my head while creating it and seeing it layed out I can follow which jar is used where much easier. I also created a Safety document that covers each ingredient's hazards, equipment to wear/use, and what to do in case of spills (today ill add accidental reactions between ingredients). All the safety info was from the nexus wiki, standard wikipedia and forum searches.

Once I have the BLAB-FASI visualization finished maybe I'll post it in the BLAB thread. Ill try to fix some of my shorthand on it and get it up when I can. Maybe with enough detail this could work instead of a video. Mine currently doesnt show pipettes/sep funnels etc, but shows contents of each jar/container, when/what to add/remove, and is color coded.

Ya I rewrote a combination of Q21Q21's and vodsels thread about how he does the same Tek. I have diagrams that I drew on each step to help me visualize how to proceed along the entire process. I have read marsofolds Tek, q21q21 Tek, DMT for the masses, ect. As well as PF Tek for mushrooms and several different teks on mono tubs, shot gun terrariums, bag teks, dunk n roll, casing, making your own spore syringe, liquid cultures, ect. So many times i could practically rewrite them word for word heheh.

I'm the type of person that can do literally ANYTHING, if you show me first, then let me do it, I will have it down. There's nothing I cannot do. It just takes me a little longer if I have to visualize it myself =)

Pity that the two main components for extracting DMT are also used in the "Shake and bake" tek. for Crystal Meth.
The people who push legislation through tend to lump all drugs and techniques together,it facilitates the demonisation of said drugs in the eyes of the voting sheople. Videos of DMT extraction are uncool,flag them, get them taken down as soon as possible.
