I love Electro and if you love electro then you should seriously check this stuff out. Well lot of "not to good" stuff there too but some dynamite in between. Damn I love those futuristic, dark sounds and beats. And this stuff is free Checkit: http://anti-social-netwo...m/the-electro-compendium––––––
DMTripper is a fictional character therefore everything he says here must be fiction. I mean, who really believes there is such a place as Hyperspace!!

Thanks, I like trying new stuff and often like dark stuff, so I decided to download the whole thing and give it a shot. Obligatory DISCLAIMER: The writings above this are for a fictional character called TheBridge, and are not reflective of any real life person who may be typing them. The character is being tested out for a possible novella, and any stories told by said character should not be assumed to be real. Any advice given by the character should be taken lightly, although not completely ignored, as any idea can be of worth, even those which are greatly opposed. The character does have feelings though and can be quite sensitive at times, so it would be wise to treat TheBridge kindly. Said character has a good heart, consciously tries to follow the Golden Rule, but is troubled at times by the ego and reactions carried out by subconscious programming in automated manner.
Do these disclaimers have any value other than entertainment? I hope no one ever has to find out. Peace and prosperity be unto all of you.

Pretty cool man! Funnily enough I really enjoyed the rather out of place 'Datassette - GUI Spew' and 'Ben Milstein - Felonius Crunk'. Reminded me alot of Autechre. I am a piece of knowledge-retaining computer code imitating an imaginary organic being.

The lazy-rich show is great http://www.google.com/ur...YgAGQpwOa6OuRoo1T0V1YW2QU can stream it or download the mixes. He owns and operates big fish recordings (top electro label) he has a guest dj every month. Past guests include Mord Fustang, Darth & Vader, Far Too Loud. Check it out. Full track list and download here too http://radio.lazy-rich.com/I am completely convinced that there is a wealth of information built into us, with miles of intuitive knowledge tucked away in the genetic material of every one of our cells. Something akin to a library containing uncountable reference volumes, but without any obvious route of entry. And, without some means of access, there is no way to even begin to guess at the extent and quality of what is there. The psychedelic drugs allow exploration of this interior world, and insights into its nature. - Shulgin

Electro House https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electro_houseElectro https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electro_(music)AntiSocial Network wrote:Electro.
Kraftwerk invented it in the seventies. Hip hop jacked it in eighties. Techno took it underground in the nineties. And then strange things happened in the noughties. House and dubstep co-opted the word "electro", shifting its meaning and confusing people. Good people. People like YOU.
You've forgotten what real electro sounds like. But that's ok, because we're here to remind you. Electro is the sound of robots dreaming of a science fiction future, making machine music in their bedrooms with pulsing drum machines, while their keytars gently bleep. OK, maybe not so much the keytars, but probably some squelching synths, and sci fi samples and even the occasional vocoder, all washed down with lashings and lashings of funk.
Today, electro continues to evolve, embracing modern production techniques and digital sound design, mutating into something so alien it barely resembles most of today's dance music. And yet it does. It SO does, and we have over 100 tracks that prove it, from relentless hardcore dancefloor tracks to intricately tweaked bedroom chin-scratchers; from melodic retro tributes to the escapist soundtrack of science fiction futures.

I should have been more specific. Lazy-Rich plays the biggest and best in Electro House. I would further describe his music and the guests as leaning more towatrds the dirty electro/complextro I am completely convinced that there is a wealth of information built into us, with miles of intuitive knowledge tucked away in the genetic material of every one of our cells. Kraftwerk could also be labeled Krautrock. Their first album Red Cone sounds very similar to Cluster, NEU!, CAN, Amon Düül. Hey guys, this isn't electro, but it's electronic. I produce music and here's one of the beats I just uploaded: http://soundcloud.com/napkinproductions/stutterIt's not quite done though. At first sight, The Perfection of Wisdom is bewildering, full of paradox and apparent irrationality.

Dynamix II were the first electro I ever heard, with this track… Which I met on this album, which my mum bought to be the soundtrack of Christmas 1987 (full of gems but a lot of terrible, terrible tracks too. Star Trekkin’ anyone?). Got to give it to Miami who held it down when it died pretty much everywhere else.

Egyptian Lover was probably the first I recall listening to. Electro has been co-opted by so many different types of electronic dance music. I hear it in nu-skool breaks (Dj Icey, Adam Freeland, Plump DJs). The 808/909 with synths?? Boards of Canada, Plaid, Autechre on and on. My personal favorite edm has got to be the maestro dave tipper. My personal favorite edm has got to be the maestro dave tipper. Mmm, I love Egyptian Lover. Saw a surprise appearance by him and Jamie Jupitor at a Clone night at Fabric a few years back, a bloody amazing surprise =) Must admit I’m not the hugest fan of most breaks (was very popular round these parts for a few years), it’s a bit hands-in-the-air for me. Heard a few bits of it the last months that have been very interesting recently. As for Tipper, the thing I’ve liked of his most so far is a remix of one of his tracks by Phoenicia (Soul Oddity): Soul Oddity do some interesting stuff, the first release I heard of them (Tone Capsule) looked like psy or something but was very wonky abstract electro/breaks

hug46 wrote:^^^^^^ thats good mate how did you make it? Thanks, I used my Electribe EMX in combo with Ableton. It's actually a pretty old track, but I only recently put it all together. More recently I've been using my Waldorf Blofeld for synthesis in combo with a little bit of u-he's VST Ace. And to the above posters, Tipper is by far my favorite producer! I've seen him a handful of times and he just keeps getting better and better. Recently saw him in Austin with Opiuo and Vibesquad At first sight, The Perfection of Wisdom is bewildering, full of paradox and apparent irrationality.

I was going to catch the mega bus from Dallas....but I had to work. How was it? I love Vibesquad and OPIUO too! I mess with Ableton myself. I love Ohm Force and the Sound Toys plug-ins for fx. My favorite synth is Sylenth1.
