So if you do the Tao of Rue or Gibrans tek on some rue/cappi....are the extracted alkaloids freebase? Can you smoke them and/or put them in changa?

If you base them with lye or sodium carbonate then yessir. Smile

Ok, that is what I thought, I just wanted to make sure.

One other thing, if you know the answer.

I was reading some other threads about changa and they were talking about adding the actual caapi vine to the blend? Did I read that right? So you can have changa that has for example...spice, mullein, pepperimint, caapi leaf and then caapi vine? It never once occurred to me that you could actually vape the vine.

Yeah, you can add bits of vine to your blend if you desire. It's going to put off more woody smoke that can be kinda harsh if you smoke it but vaping it should be pretty smooth. You'd probably want to get it pretty fine but not quite powdered as the harmalas need to be somewhat exposed to release their goodness when ya heat 'em up.

I usually prefer to make an caapi menstrum by soaking the powdered caapi in ethanol for a month or so. I'll then evap that onto some caapi leaves or mullein and that gives a full spectrum caapi experience without the harshness of smoking wood.

Your best bet is to make a few different batches and see what works best for you.

Nice, thanks for the tips. I'm gonna give it a go.
