Well after one year of enjoying the wonderful comradeship of The Nexus, I will finally take some time to share!! Whenever I have felt lonely for kindred spirits I have delved into reading, reading, reading all the myraid experiences expressed here...Dmt has come and gone out of my grasp, so when I had no way of contact, I came here as a virtual experience... I found this sight when I was doing research; to catch up to my few dmt experiences which kept finding me, but I wanted more context to explore... And here I am in my element 'personally', yet out of my element *socially* By this I mean that I grew up in the 70s and did a fair share of psychedelics which had an immediate effect on my spirituality and perception, BUT (I am quite positive that i am in a 2percentile of the demographics here~~my age 56 and sex=female); A couple of years ago I fell into circumstances that provided dmt experiences, with no knowledge of what exactly I had been presented with. So being fascinated and awed, I started researching. Rick Strassman, Terence McKenna, the internet, and you-tube.
My personal experiences have ranged from terrifying and traumatic to healing, amazing and beyond beautiful. I find it interesting that thru my whole life I have had extraodinary recall of dreams... But my dmt experiences are rather obscured from cognitve recall or memory. More of an abstact recall, a language-less recall, like I have gone tooo far away to remember or humanly process. Yet reading about others experiences is all so familiar!! There has been healing that I have felt and experiences I needed, and was lucky to access. Also I have noticed the progression into the deep...I have a vague memory of thinking that the smell/taste of the smoke was very distasteful, now its divine. The carrier wave and visuals were huge; now its an immediate arrival... My one inquiry is that even though I seem to come across dmt every so often, is there a way to create my own Changa for a bed? I realise that I am unsure what *changa* even is?!? Thank you for being out there~~all together, so many experiences!!! PS, I think I read here once that dmt leaves you with more questions than answers, that is definately true, yet it opens up many new avenues to explore, answers or notThumbs up

Welcome to the Nexus stage finally then, Isight. I always appreciate to see people with a good vital experience around here, and I'm sure many members feel the same.

For a nice clear intro to what changa is, you can start in the Changa entry in the wiki.

And please feel free to share with us more of your experiences anytime.

Thank-you! That was very helpful. About a year ago a friend of mine supplied me with changa aside from the spice, and I was never sure what exactly it was, but it seemed to work much better (and easier)than spice alone. Thanks for the note!

Well, I see that changa could be smoked on its own...But I have used it only as a bed for the spice. I feel more solid with my method that way. Otharwise over the few years of my own experiments of smoking, (without any 'guidance'Pleased it was easy to waste the spice and/or not succeed in a substantial smoke release, ie burning it or 'losing' it. Basically I didn't break through before. Now my dilemma is that now I have been gifted with some spice, and low on the changa that I've had for awhile... I am somewhat alone on this journey (and aren't we all really) but so far I have figured thigs out. I am not a pot enthusiast, and when I ordered a gvg there was a gap in my spice availability, and my roommate used it for pot... which ruined it for me/spice-(in my opinion)!!
Sometime I would like to try to put into words my adventures into hyperspace and especially how the have progressed/evolved over the last 2+ years. I feel that I have pushed the limits and survived the journey. I certainly enjoy re-assesing EVERYTHING I thought I knew, with new eyes after a recent visit to hyperspace... And so grateful for this connection here! Namaste

you should be able to clean your GVG, it's not ruined. One of the main reasons for using glass is that it is so easy to clean.

Take it apart and clean the pieces with a mix of salt and either acetone or 90% isopropyl. you can fill the body section of the GVG with this, plug up the holes and shake the hell out of it. Dump it out and rinse it with water, and repeat if needed. This will clean out any resin very effictively, and any solvent that is left will evaporate quickly leaving your glass like brand new. I've cleaned up many pieces this way that I'm certain were much grungier than yours. Big grin

Crazyhorse is right...take some rubbing alcohol and table salt and pour it in that GVG and shake, that will clean it out good as new.
Don't use any commercial cleaners like "Purple Power" they will etch the glass then it is ruined IMO.
