High everybody!!!
I thought it might be interesting to have a discussion about how psychedelics drastically affect ones perception of time.
I believe most everyone who has had a heavy dose of DMT can relate to what I'm talking about.
Also regular dream states are a place whre drastic time dialation occurs regularly. For example most people can think of a time when they fell asleep for about 5-10 minutes but had -dreams that seemed to go on for hours.
Before I ever tried DMT, way back in my LSD days I noticed that whenever I would focus all my avaliable attention purely on the vibration of my own awareness, not only would awareness increase immensely but eventually I would reach a point where it felt as if though time had literally come to a complete halt.
This time stoppage technique became the conerstone of my medatative explorations because I came to realize that this very distinct sensation of time stoppage was always accompanied with the the most mind blowing paranormal experiences...
generally in the form of some heavy duty Entity contact.
So when I started using DMT about 7 years ago, I quickly noticed that a major part of the DMT experience consited of this time stoppage phenomena...in a more extreme way than I had ever expereienced.
The most extraordinary time stoppage events of my life occured after IV DMT. 4 seconds after the needle left my vien I felt time completely crystalize and freeze over.....
That was when the pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sound began and then I was transpoted through the DMT cooridor.
It literally felt like I was in this "other place" for months. I imagined that something went wrong whith the injection and that I had died, there had already been a funeral and my loved ones had already begun to forget what my face looked like with out a photo to help them visualize.
So this phenomoena has me coming up with a few different theories. The first theory i have is that proper meditation while under the influence of LSD triggers and endogenous release of DMT. Also this seems to work in relatively effortless manor. To do the same thing while sober seems not even in the same realm of possibility.
My second theory about the actual stoppage of time is that it is truly happening. It would be extremely difficult to prove either way. If a human could stop time then it only stands to reason that no one else would notice.
The main functions of time stoppage seem to be the following:
1. It allows for a human to absorb incredibly vast amounts of information in relatively jsut a few seconds.
2. It allows for a coridoor to open that leads both to and from the spirit world.
My final though on it for know is that the term "time stopage" as catchy as it may be is at best a misleading term. The truth IMO is that there is no time to stop.
What is really being stopped is our illusionary linear view of time. I believe that if a human is able to transend their own primitive concept of time then time becomes more like a wheel.
Consider the idea that lack of patients is one of the greatest agitating factors of being human. To me impatients and the rather frantic feelings that come along with that emotion are the result of our flawed perception of time as a linear phenomena.
This thread is about throwing around fun theories and what not, so put your existensial thinking caps on and lets brainstorm this out. People who have no extensive science knowledge are encouraged to join the fun..And of course people who actually do know a thing or two about science are more than welcome to chime in as well if they feel like it.
